Possibly. I'm scared of that though. Guy is like a ripped condom on defense.THJ might get 15 per night if he plays 30+ minutes regularly.13/3/1 on 44/37/80.

Something like 15 points, 4 boards, 1 assist with 43% shootingWhat numbers you guys expecting from THJ in year 2?

This makes absolutely no sense. You think the Heat are going to try and sign him for $12M per year?If melo goes to Mia, the figure I saw was 70 M's left on the table.
Huh?Phil is probably annoyed as **** that he opted out

Knicks: 5 years, $129M, $26M/year
Any other max: 4 years, $96M, $24M/year
He's already agreed to opt out, so if he's not going to sign with the Knicks the 5th year is irrelevant. Where the hell are you getting a $70M loss from? Over 4 years it would be more like a $20M "loss" that is INSTANTLY made up via larger endorsements playing for the Heatles and winning a chip. Or he can be a chucking fatty on a bummy Knicks team till he retires. I could also see him land in Dallas though. Make a run with a motivated Dirk.
How's it going sunshine? I see you compared two max deals: one from NY and another max deal from his new team. Did you notice that I said if he left for Miami? Miami is not giving him a max deal. The point is to make a big 4:
The most plausible scenario has Miami clearing $55 million in cap space to sign all four players. Let’s say they divide that pie evenly.
That would leave Carmelo with a starting salary of $13.8 million on a four-year contract totaling $58.8 million. Signing that kind of deal would force Carmelo to leave more than $70 million on the table.
Why that much?
The max contract Anthony can sign this summer with the Knicks is a five-year, $129 million deal, with a first-year salary of $22.4 million.
Also, you said he "agreed" to opt out. He didn't "agree" to anything. It's HIS option. And he has until the 23rd to notify NY he is doing so.
Are we on the same page now?
Thanks. K. Bye.

Your scenario is false. And you're calculating life of contract by base salary first year. Your math is all wrong. You're also comparing a 4 year deal to a 5 when saying he's leaving $70M on the table. Under your BS numbers he'd be leaving $40M over 4 on the table. Stay in school kids.
Why would you compare a 4 to a 5 if the 5 year deal is with a team he doesn't want to play for? The 5 year deal doesn't exist because he doesn't want to be a Knick. Period. Compare the avail 4 year deals on the other teams to what the Heat offer, period. That number is far less than $70Ms. And none of the other teams are offering immediate finals participation or playing with friends.
Knicks ain't in this discussion. He's bolting. $96M over 4 is the most he can make. Just accept that you're a lottery team next year. Dudes trying to spin the numbers...Deluded.
Rockets won't be any better. They'll still lose to to POR or OKC in the first round.if bosh goes to houston though...theyll be thrust into the top spot in the west (unless the spurs stay intact). not saying that bosh is that good, but his skillset fits perfectly with the rockets.
