Off-White x Air Jordan Thread - Rest In Peace Virgil Abloh

OW5's are no brainer. You'll be able to spin the block on the Metallic 5's for a minute and probably at retail or a discounted place.

Are those Bred OW 4's dropping or just talk ?

Thanks for the feedback! Also, wouldn’t be surprised if the Breds drop with everything else dropping in 2025

Finally pulled the trigger on them…beauties!!! Look way better in person. Only thing is the zip tie is in the box but was cut off…whatever, I hate that thing.

Nice. Good pick up. I recently copped after being on the fence for a while as well and no regrets. Def one of my fav pairs I own. Looking to get the Sail 4's here in the next month or 2

Yup ended up getting them a bit cheaper, talked him down to $310. Not a bad deal. Now I want the sail ones, tho. I’m not crazy about the sail ones cause they look like they need to be babied like crazy and will get dirty in two seconds but feel like I can’t have one without the other lol.

Also - these fit so much better and are more comfortable than regular 5’s. That ankle padding on 5’s usually makes my ankles hurt after a long day of wearing them, actually. Hoping the new metallic 5’s dropping are better in the ankle area since they’re supposedly slimmer

M mrdior Damb! that is a steal for that price. I take it they were VNDS?

+1 on trying to maintain the Sail 5's. I copped them and the Muslins at the same time and have worn the Muslins much more. In addition to being harder to maintain, they seem to fit a little tighter. But like you said they're both more comfy than your traditional 5's. I have to send my Sail 5's in to be restored. I was putting them in the machine for light washes to keep them as fresh as possible and I'm already having some sole separation.

Looking forward to copping the Sail 4's finally and seeing how they fit.

Yeah unless I can get the Sail’s for the same price in great condition, I might just have to tell myself it’s ok to only have the Muslins lol. I don’t really want to have to deal with babying them.

Also, yup the Muslins I copped were only worn for like an hour. I can tell, they still have that new sneaker smell. OG ALL, just a cut off zip tie. Incredible deal!

Sail 4’s are dope too. They seem hard to maintain, as well, though.

People who cut the zip tie on off-whites make me question their IQ. Like, I have no issue with not wearing the zip tie. But destroying it when it can just very easily (and very logically) slide right off is a sign of…. Well I won’t say. Even if you say you hate the zip tie and don’t want it, you might wanna sell the shoes one day and cutting it hurts their value. Just throwing money away.

Agreed, that’s probably why I got them for so low. I don’t intend to sell them or anything and wouldn’t wear the zip tie anyway…but still, yeah, I wouldn’t have cut it off. There are videos on YouTube on how to remove it without cutting it off.

$310?

...what size?
9.5. And now I found someone willing to sell me a clean pair of Sail’s for $300. Debating whether to pull the trigger…it will take me out of buying the reimagined 5s coming out in Feb but I guess I can get those later if I cop the sails. I’m really liking these off white 5s better than regular 5s

Yeah definitely worth it for that price.

Def cop the sails now. Metallics will be easily gettable later.

It's not as bad as you may think. Depending on where you live and how often you wear them is a big part. If you're just wearing them casually 3-4 month they'll be fine.
Ahh interesting. I probably would only wear them a couple of times a month, if anything. I’d be scared that one scuff or something on the front would be hard to get off. I’m pretty careful with my sneakers but I feel like even if you accidentally scuff them just once, it’ll be a problem. Is it not exactly like that? I’ve heard that material is hard to clean

If you're wearing them like that you'll be good. like I was saying earlier I was super paranoid and made the mistake of continuously washing mine when in reality they were good from just using the Reshoevn8r products. I had one small black speck I started getting OCD about and used the washing machine to get it out, and it did work, but I should have left it at that and only used as a very rare needed basis. As long as you're not wearing them to the club, festivals , electric scooters through the city (like I did) you'll be good

Good to know, thanks!
