The Blazers still have interest in acquiring Anthony Randolph.

New York would like to acquire Joel Przybilla, or a first round pick.

Randolph's agent has requested a trade, as the 21-year-old has not been used in Mike D'Antoni's rotation.

Not sure about using Randolph on Pryzbilla. I feel like we should involve Randolph in a trade for Melo instead.

Sloan ain't coming to New York, or probably any team. I think he's done with coaching. He had a great run though. Great coach.

i hope this happens in this order
fire dantoni and hire sloan
get melo at or before deadline
extend donnie contract

"I just don't think we had the energy out there to be a playoff team," coach Mike D'Antoni said after a 116-108 loss to the Los Angeles Clippers on Wednesday night. "For whatever reason, in the first half we just didn't come out and play. You could see it on our face, the energy level, mostly on the defensive end, but it transferred to the offensive end."

How he really think airing the team out in the media is gonna do anything? SMFH, dude was walking on glass w/ me in the early part of the year, then we got hot so I said to myself I'ma give him a free pass cause there's no way dude can get fired if we make the playoffs after all the !%@% we been through. But honestly now I'm starting to think that regardless of what we do, Pringles gotta go. Only way I see him staying is if we make it to the ECF and that ain't happening, at this point I'd hope we don't get there even if we get Melo just so we can get rid of Pringles

IMO D'Antoni hasn't said ANYTHING negative about the team or individual players all season in conversations with the media.

I don't have a problem with him trying to light a fire under the team at this point and time.

when we lose a game u barely hear him speak defense, its always we wasn't hittin our shots..

But wateva

AR for Pryzbilla won't work straight up..Lol Moz look like he bout to pull out the ratchet

I cannot stand this about him.

Gramz u right he rarely takes these things into the media but I guess what pisses me off about what he said is if someone asked him how was the coaching effort was, do u think it was that much better than what the players put forth?

Yeah, you know dude ain't going to put ANY blame on himself.

The NBA basically gave this dude a HOF spot behind the great PHX seasons and he ain't coming down from that mountain no time soon.

if you wana throw a blank check at Sloan, go ahead. I wouldn't complain.

But the odds on that guy taking a job in NYC, slim to none.

At this point, IDC. Find someone new so everyone can get to see the same results and just make the coaching position a dead issue.

Majority would be thrilled with Sloan, I'm shocked if he continues coaching... especially for an owner like Dolan.

I don't deny the coach is flawed, but so are our players. If Stat had the passion for defense like say for example, Kevin Garnett, I believe you would see that spread amongst the other players. If Felton took some pride in his defense and actually stopped an old Baron Davis, rather than let him showboat on OUR court... maybe we'd see a change. Yes, it all starts with the coach, but it doesn't begin AND end with him. The players have a responsibility too... and too many fans give them the pass.

I don't deny the coaches are primarily responsible for bringing in the mindset and culture, but at some point you have to realize these guys are professionals and need to have some damn pride on the court. Some of what we've seen is embarrassing this year and it's got nothing to do with the coaches preaching defense, you see it in the players body language and intensity.

We would complain about Jerry too....this is the same guy who got mad at Deron for yamming it on someone

Jerry is just as stubborn as D'Antoni, maybe even more.

You guys are so damn impulsive. You haven't even given D'Antoni a FULL SEASON with a quality cast who are in there first season together, Jesus Christ.

Sloan is a great coach so he has the right to be stubborn. D'Antoni just looks like a 70s Euro pornstar trying to make a comeback.

This thread > all other team threads on NT EVER.

This is why New York is the Mecca of basketball. (Assuming most of the people in this thread are New Yorkers.)

Let's keep this up fellas. Past week has been

when it comes to quality posts and opinions.

edit- Also, let's come together and kill this post : http://niketalk.com/topic/286972 It's about Clyde and how he uses big words. Dudes saying he trying to sound smarter or something like that...

sorry but it's not impulsive to say dantoni doesn't know what defense is, has strange rotations and is in love with small ball and jacking three pointers. it really, really isn't.

if there is a suitable candidate available in the off season we need to jump on that. not give him 2 years with a cast of melo and amare (if it happens) for him to mess around with and drive them into the ground

Yeah, my biggest problem with D'Antoni is his rotation and going to small ball.

He makes subs according to playing time instead of making adjustments to the actual game and trying to match-up. He'll pull a guy that is part of or responsible for runs to put his starters in, so he can feel comfortable.

Would ya rather trade AR for Pryzbilla or Telfair and draft pick? And is POR offering a pick w/ Pryzbilla ?

- I think we need to trade Turiaf, hes too injury prone and has a $4M player option next season..
