The ex-girlfriend of Matt Kemp -- the L.A. Dodger who is currently dating R&B star Rihanna -- is lashing out at Kemp's people, claiming they are lying about a relationship that was abusive and threatening.

David D. Diamond, Felisha Terrell's attorney, tells TMZ he's pissed off that Kemp's agent is now saying Terrell liedin her 2008 restraining order application against Kemp.

Terrell claimed Kemp was verbally abusive and threatening, but both sides ultimately agreed to drop the matter.

Whennews of the restraining surfaced earlier this week, Kemp's agent toldone outlet, "She chose to file a complaint and shortly thereafter, onher own accord, decided to drop it based on the fact that thestatements made within were false."

Diamond says his clientnever lied: "The temporary restraining order was granted because of anactual and real threat. The matter was quietly resolved until Mr.Kemp's agent began making false public statements."

Diamond adds, "...my hope is that Ms. Terrell tells her story, because it is a compelling tale of betrayal, abuse and survival."

Calls to Kemp's agent were not returned.

ATLANTA (CNNSI.com) -- Duke signee Shelden Williams and Oklahoma signeeDe'Angelo Alexander have been named in a rape complaint in Columbus,Ohio, according to a report in The Oklahoman.

Both Williams, the nation's No. 5 senior according to TheInsiders.com,and Alexander, a top 30 senior by some publications, attend MidwestCity High School in Oklahoma. Three other Midwest City basketballplayers are also a part of the rape investigation, according to thereport.

A 19-year-old woman filed a report with Columbus police on Sundaymorning alleging Williams, 18, Alexander, 17, and Matthew Kemp, 17forced her into sexual conduct at the Columbus Hyatt Hotel at about 2a.m. Sunday morning while two other players watched, according to The Oklahoman.

The Midwest City team was in Columbus, Ohio, to compete in the National Hoops Classic basketball tournament.

No charges have been filed and no arrests have been made. However, Columbus police have questioned Williams and Alexander.

"Detectives are looking at the case at this point," Columbus police spokesman Sherry Mercurio told The Oklahoman.

Williams, Alexander and Kemp are all starters on the Midwest Citybasketball team. The other two players have been accused of "being inthe room when it happened and are part of the investigation," Mercuriotold The Oklahoman.

All five players have been suspended from the team pending theinvestigation. Williams is a 6-foot-9 forward and Alexander is a 6-5guard.

Midwest City is Oklahoma's top-ranked team in 6A and has been ranked in the top 15 nationally.

^Dodgers have talked about that numerous times and said it was probably the reason why such a great athlete like Kemp fell all the way to the 6th round.

Remember when Brox gave up like 5 runs in the 9th and then Loney hit that HR and the Dodgers finally won the game. Game lasted like 6 hours it seemed.

Now that the Dodgers have gotten their No. 4 starter (Vicente Padilla) in place, they're turning their attention to their bench. Their two areas of interest: a backup catcher and a role player who could bounce around the infield, reports ESPN.com's Jayson Stark.

Even though it's still late January, there are multiple free-agent options at both spots -- Brad Ausmus, Jose Molina, Javier Valentin and Paul Bako behind the plate -- and an even larger infield cast that includes Adam Kennedy, Felipe Lopez and ex-Dodger Ron Belliard. And there are indications the Dodgers have checked in on a number of them.

Both Ausmus and Belliard had significant on-field and off-field impact on last year's NL West champs. So it wouldn't be surprising if both wound up back in L.A.
Padilla set to break out once more?
Vicente Padilla draws a wide range of opinions. The guy is loaded with potential, but teammates and fans alike tend to often wonder just where his head is at, or worse, whose head he's throwing the ball at.

Buster today -- with an assist from Mark Simon -- notes that according to the numbers, maybe the Dodgers will get the best of Padilla in 2010. Simon wrote to Buster that, "Padilla had a 3.20 ERA and a 3.17 K to BB rate in his eight games with the Dodgers. If, by some manner, he can replicate that production over a full season, he'll be well worth the investment. Six pitchers were able to match those numbers while making 30-plus starts in 2009. Zack Greinke, Roy Halladay, Dan Haren, Tim Lincecum, Javier Vazquez, and Adam Wainwright."

We're not ready to book the Cy Young engraver just yet, but it'll be interesting to see if the Dodgers have jumped on a good trend.
