it was funny when the giants had a pinch runner and vin scully wasbecause everybody was 42 and he didnt know who it was
so many fans kept saying "42 YOU SUCK!" thenthey would realize everyone on the field was rockin' the 42
he was out
bengie that big bastard.
i thought vin said 105 pitches. if so, good move. hes already 100+ and its good he left on a high note
you're right, [excuses] i was very sleepy while typing that up last night. [/excuses]
he should come out to "Wild Thing" like charlie sheen did
lets put in a request?
So glad that was probably the coldest day of the season. My nose was runnin!
yeah last night was FREEZINGGGGG.
I have no idea why I laughed for at least 5 minutes at this.
Pics (I notice we didnt take anymore pics throughout the night, got lazy):

Yeah. my seats were
"Clayton Kershaw was overpowering on Wednesday while striking out 13, becoming the youngest Dodger to strike out that many since Sandy Koufax did it at age 19, and our Eric Neel was there. Some bites from the outing, first from Joe Torre:
"The kid was spectacular tonight, he really was. He improved a great deal in his pitch count. His stuff was so much more consistent. His changeup gave them something else to think about.
"We just want a good number of off-speed pitches in [the mix]. Mainly, the changeup. As big a curveball as he has, unless he puts himself in a position to make them swing at it, it's a tough pitch even for the umpires to call a lot of times. But the changeup is a huge pitch for him, and he's starting to mix it in a lot more, which keeps them from just sitting on the fastball."
From Kershaw: "Strikeouts are strikeouts. It's just part of pitching. All it means is you had to use three pitches to get the batter out. My main goal this whole year is pitch efficiency, go deeper into games. Strikeouts kind of make you go deep in counts. If they happen, that's great, but it's really not any pitcher's main goal -- definitely not mine."
He believes he just needs to keep working on the changeup, keep throwing it, "and not babying it up there. My curveball, with the 12-6 break, is a tough pitch to call sometimes. The changeup will help negate that a little bit, and hopefully will be big for me in the future."
Kershaw did not get the decision, but the Dodgers did win in extra innings."
nice pics Bright Nikes. those seats are-- imagine if Bonds was with the Giants still, left field would be more expensive than behind home plate.
I'm saying! The prices for these seats were already jacked since Manny was right there ... luckily I only paid $60 for the pair.
I NEED to know what song both Raffy and Manny come up to bat to! They had thatvibe to them and definitely iPod worthy.
them joints had my gf dancing, we just saw fast n the furious the other night (horrible) and i kept asking her if those songs were on the fast nfurious soundtrack because if you've seen it you'll know why (kinda making fun of her)
- BN - I saw that traffic jam on my way home. I was on the 10 West and saw the 10 East completely stopped. That flowed into both 5's and the 60. It was bad.
it was a hot mess.
And BN.. you need some of these next time...
theres a lot of hoopla everywhere over kershaws performance. yes it was great but.... it was the giants
although true, they're in the big league for a reason - kershaw came with his game face and went to work. you take it in stride as far asimprovement.

true...but would yoo view a no hitter the same way if it was thrown vs a team that can hit like the rays/cubs as opposed to being thrown againstthe padres?
yes theyre pro's but theres still a fine line between a team of really good pros to mediocre pro's

His two bases-loaded walks last night could be indicative of a more patient approach at the plate for the Dodgers 1B. Last year, when his batting average dropped from .331 in 2007 to .289, Loney walked 45 times in 651 plate appearances, or once every 14.5 times he came to the plate. This year, he has walked six times in 40 plate appearance, an average of once every 6.7 times he has come to the plate, and is batting .333 (11 for 33) going into tonight. Last year, Loney's OBP dropped from .381 in 2007 to .338. So far this year, it's a stellar .436.

It appears this is going to be the primary order. Also, Kuroda had a second MRI today which showed improvement. The hope is that he can play catch bt Saturday. Torre confirmed that Kuroda won't come off the DL when he becomes eligible on Wed. Also again, Joe said both Furcal and Martin probably will sit out Saturday's game with the Rockies because Russ hasn't had much success against Aaron Cook and day games after night games are still when Raffy prefers to take his occasional days off if he has to take them at all.
Ss Furcal
2B Hudson
LF Ramirez
1B Loney
C Martin
Rf Ethier
CF Kemp
3B Blake
LH Stults
