And I hate watchin homer pitch.. I don't think he's ever gonna figure it out.

He did exactly what he needed to do - win. He got squeezed all night, only gave up three hits. Lets wait til Friday. I wish he was pitching on my birthday(Saturday) but I'm going to both.

I think the days where the Cubs are a perennial winning team are gone.

Most of you will, say, "you guys were perennial losers...hahhahahaa", but the last few seasons we've had descent teams.

hopefully our next GM and president/owner will oversee these nonsense big deal spending, hire a great scouting and devolopment staff, and focus more on theHoffpaiurs, the Foxs, the Blancos and Sotos.

Not only should we move Soriano to the middle of the order, but make him play second base again. If he whines, do what at the time the Nationals manager did, bench him and take away his pay(if his contract states so).

Big name free agent spending just doesn't work as well anymore. Look at the Rays, Phillies, and Red Sox.

Everyone in this division is going to have an ulcer by seasons end. I really can't see a clear cut division winner because no team is heads above anyoneelse. When the Stros are only 4 games back, that pretty much sums up how lousy this division really is. I am actually surprised that the Cards have stuckaround this long, especially since we really don't have a good team. We're decent, but a 3rd-4th place team at best. I have a feeling the division willbe decided in the final week of the season. Then watch the NL Central division winner or wild card winner win the whole thing

I couldn't agree with you more. We have a glut of outfielders. Put Soriano at 2B.

I really don't know what the hell Lou is gonna do with Fox when Aramis is healthy. Fox may be a dud with the glove but homeboy can flat out hit. Weneed him in this anemic offense.

I was profusely firing F bombs Saturday night when I saw DeRosa traded to the Cards, of all teams. Disgusting.

For real. This division is atrocious. It reminds me of the NL West a year or two ago. Its like everyone is trying to not win the division

This team is pathetic. I knew the Milton Bradley tip would blow off soon, but I didn't know this team could underachieve as low as this. The division ispractically lying down for us and we can't figure it out.

It won't be Todd.....it will not be one of our big future players because they already got one in chris perez. If it was todd.....I still wouldn't betoo mad, dude obviously isn't playing that well because his name hasn't comeup in discussions to come up to the big team at all. I still believe itwill be thursten or barden....if not....ittl be someone that isn't significant to our future.

"One official with knowledge of the transaction said minor league right-handers Jess Todd and Francisco Samuel are on the list of possibilities.

You obviously don't follow your minor league system. 3-1, 2.57 ERA, 16 saves, 42 strikeouts, 9 walks, 1.09 WHIP, .208 average against.

And he just turned 23 two months ago. The fact that he hasn't had a significant amount of Major League experience means nothing at this point.

Even if it isn't Todd, if you expect it to be "someone that isn't significant to your future", you don't know Mark Shapiro very well.

Well, we won a game for once. You know what that means for today.

Get back already Aramis. At least let's see if you can't help us out a little.

This is getting very depressing...........i am SOO looking forward to the all-star break.

Albert hits another 2 bombs.......but nobody else does ANYTHING and DeRosa still hasnt gotten a hit. This absolutely BLOWS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Looks like we are in for a long rest of the season

ugh...

trying to stay positive....EdV has been given the green light to begin throwing again, and Edwin Encarnacion may get called up before the end of the homestand. he didn't play at Louisville today, which is interesting because he had a scheduled day off for tomorrow.

Willy Taveras, our leadoff hitter, hasn't drawn a walk since May 23rd.

we better be careful, or we could be like 6-7 games out after this weekend.

I hate the Stros play this way almost every year now instead of just rebuilding. They should just get a clue

At least for the remainder of the 1st half. Our Ace is pitching like trash, nobody on this team besides Pujols is worth !!%$. St. Louis better get its !!%$together fast
