But you ignore that we were down 6 during the game?

you ignore that AJ didn't do too well?

You ignore that Coke gave up 2 HR's?

C'mon now, it wasn't Jeet's fault.

down 6 runs, and JETER made us lose?

youre not too bright.
actually we were down by 3 in the 9th. smart one.
His point was that JETER did not get us down by 6 runs. We were down by 6 runs in the game at one point but we're just going to overlook thatand talk about the 9th? How about Phil $@$%@#% Coke allowing two HR's to give them the TWO RUNS THEY ENDED UP WINNING BY? Go crawl back into whatever holeyou came out from.

Yo, Coke is TIGHT with himself

. YES just showed his post game comments, he had the

talking to everyone. Reporter mentioned how we are headed back to the Bronx, with the DH we'll have our regular lineup. Coke went on to say in the most stern tone "I want the ball tomorrow". (Granted, we aren't playing tomorrow

, you get the point).

Imagine a Coke fistpump...dude would Hulk Smash the mound.

Granted I doubt Girardi would let Burnett pitch in Game 6, but how many pitches did he throw tonight?

53 I believe.

Tough loss, but I'm off to bed. I have to remember to e-mail my speech professor in the morning. I e-mailed her, making up an excuse why I may not be inWednesday (thinking the parade might have been then if we won tonight. I was going to skip out on a presentation for it

).

See you ladies Wednesday night.

That's not a lot with the day off tomorrow, but i wouldn't put him in if I were you guys.

As if Nick Swisher has done a better job than Jeter.

You're making Yankee fans look bad in this thread homeboy.

C'mon man. Don't compare us real Yankee fans to that fool.

Good win but my god I %#!*@!+ hate our bullpen. I am never comfortable no matter what the lead is but we got the job done so thats all that matters. One gameat a time.

Nah, hit him square in the helmet with a heater for all the intentionals they threw at A-Rod. We need a Clemens type pitcher who just doesn'tgive a ##$%!!

I know CC protects people typically, but throwing those warnings last game were straight BS. We deserve a retaliation for throwing at our best player.

They need to hit Utley (but not in the head)...dude stands right over the plate and leans into pitches too damn much.

They are letting him sit there and hit off a tee.

i still would have started someone other than aj and saved him and pettite for game 6 ...

the way howard is swinging i'd take my chances with him. hopefully utley slips on his soul glow hair grease and falls into a three day coma. im working onplans to kidnap him just in case

LETS GO YANKS !!!!!!!!!!!

Utley been getting hit for that but I don't know if this is the right time to do it. If they do just put Myers in the game and he'll knowwhat to do

Exactly....And EVERY homer he hit, the pitches were hanging high right in the middle of the plate....Pitch the dude outside or hit the #+!*%

If you're a Yankees fan, how could you not feel good about the series right now? There are no guarantees but things are definitely in our favor.

Look...I was already expecting a Game 6 before this one started. The Yankees ending it all tonight would have been a nice surprise but we had done more thanenough already by taking the first two games on the road. You had their best pitcher going for them and the erratic AJ, who let out his bad side tonight.Positives for the rest of the series:

  • Philly won tonight but we took A LOT of momentum away from them by knocking Lee out the game and almost coming back to tie. It's not like the Yankees were blown out...we left them on their toes after they had a comfortable 6 run lead. If it wasn't for Phil Coke allowing those two HR's we're looking at different game. Although a win is a win, it'll be in the back of their minds if the next game is close and they have the lead.
  • Their bullpen is arguably more troubled than ours is...the difference is we have Mariano Rivera and they don't.
  • Not only do we have home field advantage but we have the DH position back and Posada in there to catch the remaining game(s). Our lineup will look significantly better in Game 6 compared to Game 5.
  • Yes, we have Andy pitching on 3 days rest...but if there's someone who won't have an AJ-like performance, it's him. Time and time again he's pitched in big games...this is nothing new to him. Even if he doesn't have his best stuff, he'll still keep us in the game and won't let it get out of hand.
  • If it does get to 7...we're throwing CC out there and it's a question mark on their part. What is a fact is Cliff Lee can't start so we'll have the advantage right from the start.

And I don't see Pedro having as good of a game as he had in Game 2...it'll be the 2nd time the Yankees face him at the Stadium in lessthan a week. The hitters should know how to gameplan and adjust by now.

And it's time to do something different with Utley. I don't know if it's hitting him or walking him or w/e but the guy has been beastin' thisseries. Howard hasn't done *%*+ so far...put the pressure on Howard instead of taking chances with Utley.

I'm not mad at tonight's loss. We have the opportunity to close it out at home for the first time since'96. No better way to start off the inaugural year of a stadium than to win the whole thing there.
