PHILADELPHIA (AP)-A Philadelphia newspaper has apologized to readers for mistakenly running an ad congratulating the Philadelphia Phillies on winning back-to-back World Series titles.
The Yankees held a commanding 3-1 lead in the championship as of Monday, the day the ad was printed in the Philadelphia Inquirer.

The three-quarter-page Macy's ad is on the back of the front section and features a T-shirt with the Phillies logo, the commissioner's trophy and the phrase "Back To Back World Series Champions."

The Inquirer released a message to readers saying the paper deeply regrets the error.

My boy said the same exact thing. The problem is that you guys don't really have a 4th starter to go to. At least not for a big game such asthe WS. He named some 4th starter that I never even heard of.

Motivation that isnt there??? The newspaper accidently sends out thousands of papers with that ad in it and not just an ad a full page with the T shirt onit?and its just a mistake that was missed

If I heard correctly on WFAN with Francesca just a short time ago, Girardi said how he would have started Gaudin if we were up 3-0, but wouldn't start himif we were up 3-1 (because he hadn't pitched in a long while).

The logic, I just don't get it.

Fact of the matter is that AJ is paid the big bucks to pitch in these games, whether it be on 3 days or 4 days rest. He wasn't overused in the regularseason or in the first two rounds of the playoffs. He has no excuse IMO for looking that crappy out there. And Joe is going to get flak regardless of who hestarted.

im not a baseball fan. but if i was a Magic fan last year and saw that in the LA times, i would be heated

doubtful....although i expect him to pitch a good game i think we're gonna break him down faster than we did Lee last game after we got those 5 runsin...once Pedro is done (I give him 6 innings) for the evening u know they're gonna eventually bring in Park, and Lidge.....the earlier they rotatepitching the better we look we own them esp Lidge....plus Park is garbage too he's lucky Tex was stupid enuff to swing at that last pitch if not we werebeginning to crack the bats open on them in the 9th.....

and it's Yankee Stadium we're bringin' the rain tonite...i swear A-Rod better hit 6 hr's tonite and bring Mr. October's record back to theBronx i still feel sour after Utley tied him that record has been in the Bronx for decades I'd hate to see it slip to the Phils, and Please for the love ofbaseball Girardi "has to stay off the COKE!" please don't bring him in throw in Marte (who frankly i would've liked to see him pitch to Utleylast game), but we'll see i'm confident in the best team in baseball they will get the job done tonite!

You should read your %#*% before you post it. #1 It doesnt even make sense #2 im sure these pro's you speak of had a few things to say about that beingpublished in the Philly paper I can promise you that.
