OFFICIAL 2010-2011 NBA PLAYOFFS THREAD : VOL. MOST. ANTICIPATED. PLAYOFFS. EVER?

Bhz mustve been doing the Carlton all game. Wow. These cats aren't messing around. If they make wcf theres no way I don't see that series going 7. This will go 6 or 7.

They are goddamn ridiculous. I won't doubt them until a team seriously beats them.

good game grizz

I saw somebody say this and wanted to get some opinions
The Grizzlies energy and defense remind me of that 1999 Spurs team with David Robinson (Gasol), Tim Duncan (Randolph), Mario Elie (Allen), Avery Johnson(Conley) and Sean Elliot(Mayo)

theres no way the nba lets the grizzlies win another series. its a good story but theres no way i can see stern not let the KD vs kobe matchup happen

That sounds very ******ed. Grizz already losing the FT battle. What else will they do? Suspend Zbo for no reason? Grizz just got to keep grinding and the team with most heart usually wins.

Either way...the storylines would be great if either team made it.

Congrats Thibs...great accomplishment, especially since you start my favorite SG of all-time

I cringe every time I imagine if VDN was still coach.

Allen you nailed the call for James Jones. KG was terrible. I don't expect him to be 2000 Shaq, but God damn, touch the paint homie.

Wade was phenomenal. And I don't even know what to say about Peirce.

I think this was nice for Miami, but Boston lost game 1's before and come back for W's in game 2.

at people screamin at 22 year old Westbrook when he goes 29-8-6. Brutal.

that might have been about the worst 29, 8 and 6 game you can have, though.

he goes down that road again in game 2, doesn't Brooks have to figure out how to take some decision making responsibility away from him while keeping him on the floor? Great player, but he really is a dumb point guard.

I'm going to have to re-watch that game again. I think the Thunder will be better off having Westbrook post Conley than drive to the basket this series. He also missed like six  layups but apparently that's an issue with him (31% around the rim in halfcourt sets in the playoffs thus far).

Edit:

Maynor, Westbrook, Harden, Durant and Ibaka/Perkins?

However that might entice the Grizzlies even more to pound the ball inside.

I think if Westbrook continues to post Conley up, Memphis will adjust with TA on him. And RW posting up wont win them the game. Grizz can just still man up and stay on everyone else. Will Westbrook really post up 50% of the time though? This isnt Andre Miller. As the guy from the Thunder blog said, Westbrook has been playing this way the whole season. People shouldn't call him out now like he just start doing this.

I do expect them to throw a different look at Zbo. Maybe Perk on him and Ibaka helping from the weak side. I thought they would do that in the first place. Either way, i dont see their frontline stopping us. Zbo hurt them more with the face up game today.

OKC turning the ball over at that rate also happened in the regular season vs. Memphis. One thing i learned today is that your two best players can score 60+ with one shooting over 50% and still lose by 13.
Say what you want about Conley, but his decision making is far greater than Westbrook. He had 0 turnovers today and didn't let Westbrook dictate where he wanted to go with the basketball. He controlled the tempo and ran the team like a PG suppose to do. I know it hurts that OKC can't force turnovers because they thrive on the break after causing them. Best way to fix that is to make sure Tony Allen doesn't pass the ball inbounds.

As long as Conley and Vasquez are at the helm, we should be ok. We only turned the ball over like 11 times against them during the regular season matchup.
