Pretty sure I have never, ever, ever, eva eva eva posted an article about the Spurs not making the playoffs.

But I have posted my opinion of them being dunzo for the past 3 years, and oh by the way, I been right, the past 3 years.  Wouldn'tcha know.

And the streak will continue.

They very well could make the playoffs with some luck this year, but as for my forecast reasoning, it went like this, if Duncan suffers some sort of injury, they get off to slow start, and are trailing early in the year, I'm wondering if they don't move Parker.  Aging, injured Dunc, trade Parker, suddenly they aren't as great as you think they are.  And I'm moreso predicting that the Grizz come up real nice this year, as well as Houston getting a little stronger.  Now, COULD the Spurs stay healthy all year, and make a run at 48-50 wins to get into the post?  Sure, they could, then they'll be out in the first round and I'll be right again for the 4th year in a row.  Right meaning, they're done.  As in, done winning titles.  They're still a solid franchise, they still have a few players, Pop is a GREAT coach, solid front office, but title team?  No longer.

So there you go, for the 78th time now.  Obviously you'll simply dismiss this with something like Go Spurs thinking that changes reality or will somehow push them into an elite team again, but whatever.

There's not as many BAD teams as there were last year. This year the only teams that will be really BAD will be the Cavs, Raptors and T-Wolves. Teams that could be right outside that bubble depending on what happens in the next couple months could be the Nuggets and Hornets. I also think the Bobcats are gonna be a pretty bad team too.
West

1-Lakers

2-Thunder

3-Jazz

4-Spurs

5-Mavs

6-Blazers

7-Grizzlies

8-Clippers

East

1-Heat

2-Celtics

3-Bulls

4-Magic

5-Hawks

6-Bucks

7-Sixers

8-Knicks

It will be interesting indeed to see if the Grizz really do make the playoffs this year.

LOL @ all that commotion last year about Grizz vs Thunder... One playoff series and a one summer later, the Thunder on some other *@* here on NT.

Making good on a promise, Shaquille O’Neal sat on a bench in Harvard Square and made like a statue for nearly an hour today, surrounded by shocked fans who posed for pictures with the Boston Celtics [team stats] big guy, rubbed his head and tried to make him talk.

They were unsuccessful.

Timberwolves ceiling is 30 wins. However, I think 25-28 is more realistic.

Owner Glen Taylor is only putting 52 games on TV for the second consecutive year

.. man it's hard to be a fan of this team sometimes. Thinks it will make people attend games if they're not on TV... all he is doing is alienating the fan base.

I wish Rambis would just get rid of the damn triangle. It puts a strangle hold on Jonny Flynn's talents, slows everything down, makes the game boring to watch, etc. It only is a beauty when you actually have quality talent to make it run smoothly.

Teams that have ran the triangle offense -

MJ Led Bulls
Kobe led Lakers
Post-Garnett Era Timberwolves

Which of these is not like the others?

Isn't the plan to run more this season? I'm sure they'll still use the triangle but the first option is to run from what I read over the summer.
