The acclaim Lin gets for every little thing he does is beyond perturbing. He's not your buddy or family member, he's a player on a NBA team. If he's not getting it done, you shouldn't let your fandom get in the way of a fair assessment.

Wow, you seriously got THAT upset over us giving him props for being able to stay in front of Ty Lawson?  Steph obviously wasn't, so it's quite impressive that his backup did AND got a nice block on Al Harrington.  NOBODY on here said he's ALL NBA Defense but he's better than Steph Curry, for sure, on defense at least.   Like Acid said, he's a scrappy little guy that gets some nice steals, maybe a nice little help side block, and can stay in front of guys.

He sure can stay infront of other people until the pick comes and he gets absolutely lost.  But you're right, better than Curry, FOR SURE.

And am I supposed to be impressived with the block?  Lin jumps at everything so he's going to connect every now and then.  Not to mention, Al Harrington gets blocked on a nightly basis.  Even that softy Andrea Bargnani got him.

And for the record I'm not upset, I'm just taking a firm tone when dudes come in here with gems like that Curry statement.  Take that stupidity to the Lakers' thread.

Jesus christ, Steph is not a good defender for various reasons including taking too many chances to make a play and getting burned. However, comparing Lin to Steph is beyond absurd. Wow Lin moved his feet playing against fast on the 2nd night of a b2b. Let's not make him the 2nd coming of GP yet.

Yeah, cause me saying Lin is better in defense than that "great" defender Steph Curry is really almost as bad as someone comparing Lin to Jackie Rob.  You sound like someone dumb enough to say it the way you're comparing this scenario.

Also, WHO made Lin seem like the second coming of GP?  All ANYONE said was it was impressive that he stayed in front of Lawson where as What Up's defensive specialist, Steph Curry, couldn't.  It really ain't that absurd to say Lin is a better defender than Curry, seeing as Curry plays NO defense.  Oops, excuse me, he plays "matador" defense.  If that's better than "jumping at everything" trying to get a blocked shot, then ooookay, if you say so.  Y'all acting like Curry is LIGHT years ahead of Lin in defense when Curry is probably one of THE worst defenders in the L.  I don't remember ANY time in Steph's career where he played good D on the opposing player.   Now i REALLY know why people compare him to Steve Nash.  So don't come here acting as if it's some "absurd" statement as if Steph Curry's this GREAT defender.

No, I'm going to ask you those questions because you keep spewing that %%$!%#@$ in all your posts.

But here is an answer that's going to blow your pathetic, little mind. He plays 10 minutes because he only deserves to play 10 minutes. And I think I have a legit read on his abilities, only I don't go out of my way to praise every little thing he does. Which was what this conversation started off as. Until you came along and provided comedic relief.

P.S. And again the Lawson matchup gets brought up.

P.S.S. What exactly should I praise Lin about? Staying in front of someone is something he NEEDS to be doing. That's pretty basic.
 
Forgot game started.

Biedrins keeps reaching over for that steal and gets called for the foul every time, so why does he insist on doing it over and over again?
