Performers will include Mickey Factz, Blu & Exile, Curren$y, Brother Ali, Charles Hamilton, Buff1, Blue Scholars, Tanya Morgan, Black Spade, Nato Caliph & Rockwell Knuckles, plus an amazing headliner that we will announce in due time.

Where:  Peckerheads (Pause), 402 E. 6th Street

Was thinking about making this thread the last couple of days. RSVP for this isn't up yet, but as soon as it is, I will sign up. I did RSVP for the other NahRight/TSS party though (wonder if I need to RSVP for both). Excited for Fader Fort as well. Last year was incredible ...

You performing this year Floss?

yessir got some events going Thursday(shiner saloon) and Friday (house party)

any word of open shows or venues that need extra performance let me know

Oh, ok. Cool. Well, I definitely want to try and come out and support. I'm not getting any SXSW bands, but any free shows, I'll see about rolling through. Just let me know ...

Mos Def... i'm the same way free shows and rsvp's ... only a couple lineups make me want to pay the $30 dollars

but a band of $700 no sir... i'll be on the promo grind much of the time anyway

Related to SXSW, but not really, but I will be working Todd Patrick's MtyMx in Monterrey. Schedule:

I'm heading down from Chicago this year, never been to SXSW before. Any tips for us? I honestly don't even know what to expect. My cousin is putting together a Chicago band showcase at a bar down there so obviously I expect to be there most of the time, but what's the deal with the free shows? Any idea about parking if we stay out by the airport? What to bring with?

http://www.illcityblog.co...events-sxsw-or-bust.html here is a chicago hip hop showcase for sxsw

Its going to be mainly a big festival for 4 days and the action will be on 6th street and centered around that area... they have shows outside the loop and on other streets around 6th street but mainly 6th street, Every bar and club is open and having musical guest

free shows you can find by rsvp or just walking up to bars... literally every bar will host or require music, and if you lucky just ask if someone didnt show or is running late and they will let you perform

parking is gonna be hectic and closed off on 6th street , so you have NO choice but to walk alot of places, but there will be cabs and bike cabs everywhere

bring money, ID, and cell phone anywhere you go

floss you got last year's TSS showcase up there

thanks, floss. we got a hotel just north of downtown so my guess is we will try to cab it from there (about 5 miles).
i'm real stoked, i've been wanting to go for years and this showcase just kind of fell into our lap.

the chicago band showcase is going to be at The Trophy Room on 6th street if any of you are into the punk/alternative scene.

In place of my accidental double post:
Here's the lineup for the JBTV SXChicago showcase at The Trophy Room.
Only hip-hop act on the bill is David Costa, rest of bands are punk/alternative/rock....but it's the best of the best of Chicago's rock community.

Anyone been able to RSVP for the Grand Ole Party of Bootleggers and Tastemakers? The link to knuckle rumblers is broken :/ ...

*Patiently waits for Fader Fort line up.* Rumor has it that a certain "How low can you go?" star may be the suprise guest ...
