Both fans should get over the fact they play in Concacaf. Soccer is 11 vs 11 so any team can beat anyone anyday. I wouldnt be surprised if we lost to Bolivia or Ecuador in Copa America and we have before. Unless Mexico or the US consitently start blowing people out of the water a'la Boise State (NCAA Football) then no you cant go to another conference plus you are geographically tied to this one.

Yes any team can beat any team anytime. However if you start saying your team is better atleast back it up with some real facts. I agree teams can be considered better than others but in soccer like in football (my 2nd favorite sport) you got to play the game first (head to head) before you start talking smack and predicting 5-0 scores. Example 1: USA fans can say they are better than Jamaica but they cant say its gonna be 5-0 after what we've seen recently between the two...it would be ignorant. Oh and why should we kick caribbean teams out?? The US team can't soundly beat a former french colony with 400,000 people. A british commentator just said the other day that the gap between national teams is closing in europe. I think its closing in Africa, Asia, and the Americas too.
Thats my op but you can continue to think the US belongs in conmebol and uefa.

Without trying to add fuel to the fire, I will point out Mexico has done relatively well for itself in Copa America's dating back to 1993 (twice finishing 2nd, 3 times finishing 3rd and twice losing in quarters). It is what it is. I'd love a move to CONMEBOL even if it didn't mean an easy spot in the WC, but it ain't happening.

plus that goleada that hungary gave them was because the team had internal problems. the goalie (Luis Guevara Mora)wasnt even trying due to the problems the teammates had with each other. after that game they played against belgium that was a better team and lost 1-0 then they played maradona and argentina and they lost 2-0 which one goal was a penalty.
and lets talk about guatemala's world cup history.......... oops i forgot.

Andour so called flopper Ruiz is up for goal of the year again after winning MLS goal of the decade in 1996-2006. Dude cienfuegos never won the Galaxy jack until Ruiz got there and lead the league in scoring that year.
