OFFICIAL 2013 FANTASY FOOTBALL TALK

Thanks Champ. I got Julius Thomas and Joique Bell starting for now and will probably keep it that way unless something occurs.

Is Percy Harvin worth stashing?

Im under the same scenario...lookin to upgrade my QB position I got offered:

Stafford
Harvin

For:

Mendenhall
Mike Wallace

My current squad is
Romo
AP
McFadden
Roddy
Steve Smith
Hartline
O.Daniels
Mendy/Fred Jackson in my flex

Is Percy Harvin worth stashing?

I think so.

Biggest worry for me is that Seattle will already have the best record in the NFC around the time he comes back and they won't use him until around week 13 only to get him up to speed.

Other than that...He will be the main offensive threat and weapon for Russell and that entire offense. If it's a PPR league then it'll be a dynamite stash.

So here is my situation. i was riddled by injuries this past week and dont know which to go.

RB:
Ray rice
frank gore
lamar miller
d williams
a bradshaw

wr/te:
Roddy white
Dre johnson
r wayne
jordy
edelman
V. davis
M. Bennett

Who should i start, NON PPR. roddy is def no, jordy is def a yes. the others are all ? marks based on what they have been doing thus far

was thinking Jordy, Wayne, V, davis, M Bennet at flex; Gore, Miller

what yall think?
Sit Rice. Houston has a good run D. Ray is a game-time decision. Pierce will get the bulk of reps. Gore as RB1. Miller as RB2.

Roddy sits until he gets normal reps. If Jordy is your WR1, I'm starting Dre at WR2 if he's cleared from the concussion. Edelman seems to be well-liked by fantasy experts. He's proven to be Brady's only reliable option. I just like him more in PPR formats for obvious reasons. He's not a major TD threat IMO. If Dre can't go, Reggie gets the start at WR2 behind Jordy.

VD should start at TE if the hammy is truly cleared and not bothering him. If you worry about the injury, start Martellus at TE. He's a legitimate TD threat. 3 in two games.

ChampCruThik and denni5themenace, my other RB's are Ray Rice, Reggie Bush, Lamar Miller, and James Starks who I just picked up off FA since I wasn't able to get Moreno from waivers. I have Bennett as my other TE, I'm thinking about using him as trade bait.
Make the trade, then move Bennett in a package for increased WR depth.

No problem, bud. Hope they both cook for you.

Got Royal off waivers so now I ask again for confirmation.

Pick 2:
Nicks
Gordon
Edelman
Royal
I'm starting Nicks. He's bound to shine with the increased attention on Cruz through two weeks.

Fantasy experts would recommend Edelman. His projections are higher than I would think. 9/72/1 on ESPN. I would start Edelman if you're playing PPR, Royal if standard for the TD potential. 5 in two games.

Gordon was a big W3 play for me, but not with Hoyer starting at QB. Plus he may need time to shake off rust from suspension.

V.Davis vs Indy or J.Finley vs Cincy ??

Also, pick two: Jordy Nelson vs Cincy, Mike Wallace vs ATL, Frank Gore vs Indy, Chris Johnson vs SD
Pretty close. Finley battling a toe. VD a hammy. If both play, I give VD the slight edge. SF should be out for blood after the embarrassing defeat to Seattle.

All four are very strong options. My hunch, pure intuition is CJ2K has a good week rushing against SD.

The other start goes to Wallace in PPR, Jordy in standard. Wallace will get more receptions, Jordy has higher TD potential. He's been a machine the past two years.

Rumored December return. I would in a keeper league or if you have an available slot on your bench.

I know you have a desire to upgrade Romo. Stafford is an elite fantasy Q. Percy is a great stash for December.

You might struggle without Wallace at WR with Roddy still battling the high ankle sprain. Mendy is your RB3 and Wallace a WR2 or WR3/Flex for a QB1 and WR2 long-term.

You can afford to lose Mendy, but not Wallace right now. Who should be your WR2 or Flex, interchangeable with Smitty. The discrepancy between Romo and Stafford isn't huge, although #9 is frustratingly inconsistent.

What you think? Make a move? Stand pat 8o
I agree with adding SF DEF. They were ranked first or second with Seattle on most preseason draft boards.

You could plug Starks at RB2 over Wilson and include Garcon or Richardson in the Flex.

Drop Smith after this week for RB or WR depth. Probably WR needed more since you're sufficient at RB with Foster, Wilson, Starks, Richardson, MJD, Tate.

Anybody worth replacing Thompkins with?

WDIS - FLEX - 1PPR

Bernard vs GB

Royal @ TEN

WDIS - FLEX - Standard

Hopkins @ BAL

Bernard vs GB

T. Austin @ DAL

Note: I've got Fitz in one of my WR slots, so if he were to experience any complications with the hammy I'd easily slide Hopkins in there instead.

WDIS - RB - Standard

Wilson @ CAR

Miller vs ATL

Picked up Minny and Buffalo's defenses across my leagues for this week.

Gio.

Gio, Tavon, Nuk. Nuk upgraded if Dre can't go. That OT TD over J-Mac was with Dre off the field.

I'm extremely high on Gio. Marvin Lewis should realize Law Firm's low YPC in comparison. RR needs a run game, he looked porous against Pitt.

GB's run defense doesn't phase me one bit. Couple receptions not out of the question for Gio.

Miller over Wilson. Even if Coughlin trusts Wilson, Carolina's front seven is tough. They limited Beast Mode, a far better back than Wilson. Atlanta's missing Biermann and Spoon. Impacts the run D.

what would you guys recommend as a must have defense for Week 3?

Currently I still have the Bengals (Green Bay) on my roster, but I'm thinking about picking up the Jets (vs Bills) off the waiver wire

No way you go with Cincy

Vikes on the wire?

I'm high on Gio too, which is why I took him a bit earlier (6th round) than his ADP (7th-8th round).  He's too talented to not continue to see a progressive incline in his touches; playmakers need the ball in their hands.

I see it the other way around.  Buffalo has done a good job at getting to the QB thus far and the Jets have done a poor job of protecting their QB.  Manuel has shown more poise than Smith as well and the Bills have better weapons in the backfield and outside.

Steelers might be your best bet vs the Bears .. should be a defensive battle

You could also look at the Titans or Chargers, maybe even Miami forcing a few turnovers at home .. the pickings are slim based off what's left on your wire

Was able to drop bengals d and scoop up the bears d for this week. rather have them vs pit than bengals vs discount double.

Yeah I think CJ2K finally breakout this week.

I also think Frank Gore does damage against a Colts D that gave up 171 yards to Oak and 101 yards to Mia.

So it comes down to Gore or Nelson, non-PPR league.

What's Tony Gonzalez's trade value? Because I have him and Julius Thomas and I was thinking of shopping him around.

I'm not confident in Ray Rice even if he plays this week so I'm looking at a pretty tough choice as to who to start in his place. Any help?

Joique Bell @ 'Skins (their full name is censored on NT?)
David Wilson @ Panthers
Giovani Bernard vs. Packers

Standard league, 4 pts/TD. I'm leaning toward Joique Bell because of his tasty matchup, along with Reggie Bush being a little dinged up. Gio looked great in week 2 but his touches were pretty limited. Unless they ramp up his playing time/touches I'm not sure he can do that much damage each week. Wilson is still in the doghouse so I'm not confident in him at all. :\
