Although I would understand the logic of doing this trade (slightly downgrade your WR for help at RB), I personally think that Ryan Matthews is garbo.  I would decline.

solely depends on if you are desperate for the QB. otherwise, I'd sit tight and stick with that massive advantage you'd have at WR every week

I finally get to watch the Bully live on TNF :hat

For everyone that's 4-0, how many points are you averaging? I'm at 120 right but there is no way I sustain that the whole season unless I keep winning. I think I'll be around a 100 avg come seasons end.

Who can I trade edelman for? Looking for another WR or RB. someone of equal value? 8o

I'm in a very deep league with 14 teams and 7 bench slots, so basically your 2-3 worst players will never start. I had to scramble to get a defense this week (since there's not really anything you can do to upgrade your team and I have a low waiver spot) and since the waivers can't cancel themselves if one goes through, I ended up getting two D/ST.

Now I have the Bengals D/ST, Browns D/ST, and Panthers D/ST and I intended on starting the Panthers D this week. Two of those D/ST take up two of those three players that will never start bench slots and I picked up Percy Harvin a few weeks ago to stash him. I'm looking at picking up Jonathan Stewart and dropping one of the D/STs right now. Which should I drop? I am open to starting the Browns D/ST tonight if I drop the Panthers.

Also my QB situation has been rough as I have Russell Wilson and Eli Manning and both have been playing inconsistently. Should I start Eli versus a bad Eagles D or Wilson against Indy? I'm leaning toward starting Eli which is more risky but ESPN's projections and I are thinking that the Giants-Eagles game will be a shootout.

Is Justin Blackmon starting on Sunday? I'm reading mixed opinions on whether or not he'll be starting. I gotta imagine he will be since the Jags are awful to begin with and their other WRs are banged up.

Due to guys having a bye week I need a receiver for this week:

Justin Blackmon @ STL

Michael Floyd vs. CAR

Jeremy Kerley @ ATL

Denarius Moore vs. SD

1. Bengals 2. Panthers 3. Browns

Giants running game has been horrible thus far, Eli has been a bum all season and you expect him to break out of it soon, so I guess it's whether you have the patience and faith that he will.

I'm meh on Wilson, good quarterback but fantasy wise just not sold on him.

I would drop Carolina, they have some tough games after Week 10.

I would also start Eli.  The lack of a premier WR is hurting him; he's getting it done on the field for his team but that isn't translating to great fantasy numbers.  However, there is reason to be optimistic.  He's got a favorable schedule going forward--Colts, Titans, Cardinals, Rams, Bucs, Falcons, Vikings, Saints, 49ers, Giants, Cardinals, Rams--and some underlying numbers suggest that he will improve.

For QB's with more than 25 passing attempts this season, Wilson is 6th in yards per attempt (8.20), after Rivers but ahead of Stafford.

He's 5th in touchdowns per attempt (0.06), tied with Drew Brees.

He's 27th in total passing attempts (96), behind Christian Ponder and ahead of Josh Freeman.

He hasn't been great at putting up fantasy points, but if he's suffering from anything, it appears to be a volume problem.

For the future, here's something I learned a few years ago on using the WW.

Often you will need to put in multiple waiver requests for the same player to optimize your waiver strategy and carefully plan the order. For example let's say there are 3 players you are interested in off waivers we will call them W1, W2, and W3 for simplicity with W1 being the most desirable. Let's say you only have two guys you are willing to drop, we'll call them D1 and D2, with D1 being the first guy you want to drop and D2 being a guy you'd rather keep if you can only get one waiver guy. Your waiver request should go like this:
  1. Add W1 drop D1
  2. Add W2 drop D1
  3. Add W3 drop D1
  4. Add W2 drop D2
  5. Add W3 drop D2
The first time it goes through the waiver list it will try to add W1 if available, if he's gone it will try to add W2, and if he is unavailable it will add W3 and in any of the cases D1 will get dropped. If all 3 are gone before it gets to you then you don't drop anyone. Then the second time through the list D1 is already dropped so the first 3 options are not possible so it will start with option 4 checking to see if W2 is available and if he is he will be added to your team and if not it will check for W3. If either are added it will drop D2. If none of them are available then D2 stays on your team. The possible outcomes are that you get two of the three guys you want and drop both D1 and D2, you get one of the three and only drop D1, or you get none of them and both D1 and D2 stay on your team.

It's very likely Blackmon will play, just keep in mind that he will still have Gabbert under center and that caps his ceiling.  Moore isn't a bad second option, he's a vertical receiver and Pryor has the arm to throw it deep.
