Playing poker but your cards are facing me.......
What superstar in their right minds is deferring to someone they can't run the offense thru ?
Sure he's a defensive/rebounding machine but offensively he's a cleanup/putback dude point blank , dumping the ball to Dwight in the post 10-20 times wont lead to chips IMO.. Until he becomes a consistent post scorer and passer out of double teams it makes little sense for him to be a 1st option.

Well of the options presented ahead of him, there are two points of interest.
Having Dirk help guide his post game. Having someone to teach you actually in the game may do the trick.
Having McHale, a great PF in his day, as his HC may be the golden ticket to Dwight's success. But, the jury is still out whether he's a good coach or not.
Of the teams still in the race, is it fair to rank them this way?
Best roster: Houston > Golden State> Los Angeles> Dallas > Atlanta
Best Coach: Dallas > Houston = Golden State = Atlanta > Los Angeles
Best management: Dallas > Houston > Los Angeles > Golden State > Atlanta
Legacy: Los Angeles> Houston> Dallas = Golden State > Atlanta
“@PeterVecsey1: From what I'm told, should Howard decide on GST, & LA is unwilling 2 sign-trade, it has teams willing 2 assume salaries of AB, Biedrins & RJ”

I hate to use cliches but that old dog ain't learning no new tricks, he's a vet and I doubt he could make more than slight improvements at this point regardless of coaching or instruction.
I agree with most of those roster ranking except for 2
Yes GS had a great year but I need to see em with another successful season before I say Mark is a better coach than MDA. His track record is much better than Marks and although I don't like Dantoni , he can't totally be discredited because he had Nash.
And how the hell is Houston's management > Los Angeles ?
Mitch is a damn magician so ill need some serious details as to why the Rockets management is better when they haven't been serious contenders since Hakeem left. All they did was use a bunch of cap space for harden but overpay for linsanity at the same dam time.
jim buss/mitch pulled off pau for cp3 (vetoed), and brought in nash and dwight (didnt work out for us but you cant say those were not good decisions)Serious question what good decision has the Lakers front office made since Dr.Buss stopped making decisions?I hate to use cliches but that old dog ain't learning no new tricks, he's a vet and I doubt he could make more than slight improvements at this point regardless of coaching or instruction.Well of the options presented ahead of him, there are two points of interest. What superstar in their right minds is deferring to someone they can't run the offense thru ?

Fredo hasn't done anything that has worked out.
Gilbert Arenas will be the 3rd highest paid player next season at $22.3M.

Now that I think about it, if the Dwight trade doesn't happen for the Warriors the fallout will be catastrophic. Could be on the same level as Pau and LO for the Lakers.
IMO the only one of those deals that was a slam dunk good decision was the Dwight deal.

I know u don't like the lakers but seriously how many decisions by GMs are a slam dunk ?
It's all a high stakes dice game and most crap out.
90% of these GMs plans fail anyway because at the end of the season only 1 team holds that trophy up.
All I said was LA > Houston in terms of management and u respond by asking what we've done since Buss passed the torch. If u disagree why not start by telling me how the rockets have better management than the Lakers ?

Wait, what?Oblivion eh??!????
WELCOME TO CLEVELAND EARL CLARK!!!!

Was gonna mention the same. As far as the Rockets go, since they wouldn't have to make moves til after he signs, if he doesn't sign, they could easily resign Delfino, Garcia, and Brooks (depending whether or not they're picked up by other teams), and just roll with that team for another year and look toward next FA. I hope that doesn't happen though.
how is trading pau for cp3 a bad decision?IMO the only one of those deals that was a slam dunk good decision was the Dwight deal.
