He never really has, But i see it in spurts. He's shown he is a supreme athlete and one of the best players on the floor at any given moment, yet he refuses to take over games. I know yall remember that 40+ game last year against Miami. I need to see him play with that same type of confidence all of the time. Im hoping with KG and PP gone he will embrace his job as primary scorer.

Rondo to Green could be a pretty dynamic scoring duo IMO

ok, so memphis beats okc in 5 games by an average margin of victory of 5.5 points per.. WITHOUT westbrook

we lost kevin martin this offseason.. not james harden, who we traded before LAST season.. but, kevin martin..

in the playoffs martin averaged 13.7 points against the rockets and 14.4 against the grizzlies playing 30 mins per (remember please, that westbrook got hurt in game 2 against the rockets).. martin's shooting averages in both series 34% from the field and 37% from 3 against the rockets AND 41% from the field and 35% from 3 against the grizzilies.. and i'm pretty sure everyone is aware of martin's defense or lack there of

we return all 5 of our starters.. plus collison and reggie jackson

kevin durant will be 25 in september.. westbrook will be 25 in november.. ibaka will be 24 in september

reggie jackson was able to start 9 games in the playoffs and is only 23 (he turns 24 in april)

THEN we get to the young guys: lamb, PJ3, adams, orton, roberson, jerrett and liggins

I said you guys would be hell to deal with. But, I'm in the minority here and if you've followed what I've said about both teams the past 3-4 seasons, you know how I feel about a matchup with you guys. I've always felt like Memphis was a bad matchup for OKC. OKC has not been some dominant force against Memphis over the last 3-4 seasons.

Once again, I'm in the minority but I like the fact Memphis can throw TA at Durant to frustrate him. I like that Memphis defensive schemes causes Westbrook to turn the ball over. I like that guys like Ibaka and Perk are very ineffective offensively against their bigs. Of course, OKC has a better chance at making the Finals. They have 2 top 10 players easily. But, in a matchup/series, I've always felt like Memphis has an edge. OKC beat the Spurs the year they went to the Finals because they had a 3rd scorer in Harden that stepped his game up. Do I think OKC can beat the Spurs now without knowing who can fill his shoes? No. I also think OKC may struggle with Houston because they have 2 top 10 players as well and probably a better core group of players overall.

With Durant and Westbrook, you will always have a good chance. I just think OKC without a for sure 3rd scorer, Perkins still getting 20+ minutes and Brooks running the show may be in for a fight against the liks of Houston, Memphis and San Antonio. If any other team simply lost their 3rd best scorer and solely relied on internal improvements to beat other teams who have addressed needs, what would you say?

I can't imagine what goes through Blake's head every time he has to play the Grizzlies.

Jeff Green looked better and more explosive than I've ever seen him last year. Hopefully he can really carry that into next year.

If only the Thunder could have kept together Westbrook-Harden-Durant-Green-Ibaka :{

Gotta be a weird angle or she has the most brolic heels in the world on. I've seen Oden and he's one of the largest human beings you'll run into in life.

Dude, Memphis and their ~70ppg offense will be light work with KD and Westbrook healthy. Kevin Martin didn't do much in games against playoff teams (really, look at his splits, theyre horrible) so he's not a major loss. While he doesn't replace his shooting (and again, KMart shot 36% from 3 on the road to 49% at home), Reggie Jackson will provide that same scoring punch for the bench unit along with better defense and a more dynamic, versatile offensive attack. Lamb, who knows?

Bro so unnecessary..

If the Heat lost Wade or Bosh without getting anything in return, they would still probably be favorites because of Lebron but you cannot tell me teams like Chicago, Indiana, Brooklyn would feel more confident about beating them in a series next season.

At the end of the day you can throw stats out about what Martin did in the playoffs, but having him on the court with Durant and Westbrook causes defenses to think twice at times. He was not James Harden, but he was better than anybody I see them throwing out there next season in his place. I like Lamb alot, but I'm not sure if he's ready at this point in time to come up big in playoff games.

those players also are not k mart, just like when harden left the thunder people thought they would be find without him. k mart may not be the same player as he use to be with but he still get the respect from the other players and coaches of what he can do on the court. I like reggie game but i think he will play different with teams having a scouting report on him. Kind of like lin leaving the knick, im not comparing the skill level just an example.

I just saw what itsaboutthatime said.

Ok :lol . I guess OKC will dominate Memphis this season and in the playoffs if they meet up. Cannot wait. I pray they meet. Memphis just going to make OKC play their game anyway. We going to be seeing Westbrook crying and **** about not getting any calls and Durant frail *** flying all over the place because he can't handle the physcality of our team.

When the team locks in on Westbrook and Durant and ignores everyone else, I cannot wait to see Derek Fisher, Reggie Jackson, Jeremy Lamb and Serge Ibaka tear the team up on the offensive end. And if Memphis beats them, then I will hear about how Memphis has a better overall team to work with than Durant and Westbrook had. :rolleyes

:lol at Rose saying he's the best player in the NBA in that interview. Yea ok Derrick
He's not even the best PG on the NBA he needs to relax

What was he supposed to say? LeBron? Parker? Kobe? KD? :{

That's like asking your boy Jay-Z who's the best rapper in hip-hop right now. KDot? Nas? Drake? Kanye? :{

Why should he bow dow to his competition? He gave LeBron his respect in that same interview, said he was the toughest player to guard in the league That's where it stops. Y'all in here wanting Rose to sound like some type of groupie fanboy. Not happening, he's trying to take the throne not share it.

When you believe in what you do and have the passion to be the best at what you do, whether its work, school, sports, etc, you're always going to refer to yourself as being #1!

but dudes call DWade a scumbag

Blake's a better man than me tho

I'd have swung on dude

D-Wade just does dirty *** sneaky ****. Z-Bo knocks the **** out of dudes all game every game when they're actually expecting it. Guy's a warrior.
