The Knicks have a better chance of winning the championship than Blake Griffin winning Mvp.

I can name a couple players who deserve it over Bron.Alligator arms bHe gotta use his 50 inch vertical to block an entire 1 shot per game before he can be MVP
Cody Zeller has the same problem.
He'll get it eventually, remember it took Bron years to become the defensive player that he is. Speaking of which, they need to stop playing and give him DPOY of the year this year. He deserved it last year over Big Spanish but he's my guy too so I'm not that mad about it
I agree, and I rock with Datz most of the time, but I don't see it right here. I mean, he isn't a supreme shot blocker, but who is from that position? Statistically, he is comparable to some great power forwards in that regard. Not that big of a deal.He isn't a defensive minded player. And neither are many of the elite power forwards in the league.. Your obsession with calling griffin out for his lack of shot blocking is just weird

Gilbert Arenas trying out for the Clippers?
Link? Source? But I don't see it. We're way deep at guard as it is. No room for Gil
You sure about that? I wouldn't go that far.The Knicks have a better chance of winning the championship than Blake Griffin winning Mvp.
He actually is. And he blocks shots. Thunder were top 5 in most defensive categories. He has to play "hero" defense a lot and run over from the opposite ft line and get blocks just because our perimeter guys can be quesitonable at times, and at times it's by design, and Perkins is 100% useless anymore. Hell, he held ZBo to 8pts on 31%fg, and Scott Brooks being the genius he is decided to switch the matchup the rest of the series and let ZBo come back to life eating up Perkins.Serge Ibaka isn't a good defender, but he can block shots.
BPG don't = GREAT DEFENSE
ISWYDTI want the Gilbert on the Clippers, we need a shoot first point guard
You sure about that? I wouldn't go that far.
This is all he relies on for his game. His athleticism. He doesn't box out. He jumps over people for rebounds. It's so frustrating to watch him given how strong he is, and he doesn't really know how to use what he has. This is why he gets called for over the back fouls a lot. Once he figures out how to play a more technically sound game (if ever) then he'll be a more effective player. You can make the argument he's a young player but we're getting out of that zone for him now. He's a vet and should know better. Just because he CAN jump doesn't mean he has to lead the team in blocks. Just being effective enough to alter shots in the paint is good enough. Then there is his offensive game, but that's another discussion for another day. He needs to take steps doing this if he seriously wants to be MVP, but I doubt it, he's happy catching lobs for now.Originally Posted by DatZNasty: But Griffin being a bad defender isn't just because he doesn't block shots. It's just a fascinating stat given his level of athleticism, that's all.
He wasn't really known for his defenseLol Gil is my guy but don't let that staged IG stuff fool you where he is on that joint looking like the bone collector!
Seen dude play this summer numerous times and dude has lost a step or two and cannot play D. Dude just launches nonstop until they fall and reach all game.
First he said he was content in china playing a few days ago and now he is anxious to get back in the league.
That was kinda the point of saying thatNeither have a chance at winning a damn thing so it doesn't matter. You sure about that? I wouldn't go that far.
Low key TMac kinda played himself out, being a malcontent at the end of his career (not much different from Ivo) If both had been willing to adjust they'd still be on a roster.
@danielbuergeLA : In a poll conducted on http://t.co/3kHA5jRRQc and asking new rookies who their favorite current player was, @KobeBryant was voted No. 1.
