if you got an extra rep its because i repped you for helping put out that fire that is penny hardaway talk .. first time i ran out of reps :lol

Saw my man trying to put Penny in the HoF and at the same time Grouped A.I. with VC, Tmac, etc. :lol yikes

And here's the thing with Beasley. He definitely has faults. He's undersized, he's inefficient, he's not a good rebounder, doesn't have a good motor, and has a serious problem with respect to finding a position due to his size and athleticism (or lack thereof)

But he is talented though. He does have some tools. This was a great move for Miami. Low risk, High Reward type of deal. This gives them another potential scoring threat off the bench. Now he rotted in Phoenix, but he was not that bad in Minnesota, even posting 18ppg a couple years back. Miami doesn't need much from him which I think is perfect for Beasley. At this point, I don't think anyone thinks he's a player that can be a 1,2,3, or even 4th option on a team. However, beginning of 2nd and 4th quarters for short stretches and burst, he could potentially be awesome for them. Miami has nothing to lose and everything to gain with this move.

In phoenix, he wasn't consistent at all, but there were burst and moments that made you think he could be a productive player. Condensing the Mike Beasley Brand to short minute span(s) is exactly what he needs. Not a lot of time to **** up, but enough time to give the Heat an individual offensive threat when the big 3 aren't on the floor.

Go Bucks.

Like someone said earlier, the Heat have nothing to lose with the signing. It's a big if, but IF he manages to be productive, it'll be a good pick up. If not then no real loss. Picked him up for the minimum.

are we really comparing penny not even a top 5 player in the nba in his prime (which only lasted like 5 years) to magic a top 5 player ALL TIME?

You're right, man. I'm not putting anymore thought or energy into that discussion.

Beasley is one of the worst defenders in the league, a horrible passer, doesn't get to the line, terribly inefficient scorer in general, not a good rebounder for a 6'10" guy, low IQ, and lazy as hell. But other than that, great player.

But dat lefty stroke :{ :x :hat

Jerry Jones seems like the coolest old white dude on the planet.
He is. Met him coming off a tour bus hammered as hell talking about O's once :lol

Beasley can work. Miami needed someone to get minutes off LeBron's back. If it doesn't work, MLE still in Riley's pocket 8o.

Dude, you don't get it. Miami just was just gifted another piece to make them even more loaded. It won't even be exciting when they win again because they've signed Oden and Beasley. That's the former number 1 and 2 draft picks.

WHAT HAPPENED TO THE LOVE OF COMPETITION. PLAYERS USED TO WANT TO KILL EACH OTHER OUT THERE... NOW THEY'RE ALL FRIENDS

I want to see them approach 73 wins so MJ can pull a Mercury Morris

I hear you, but that reasoning doesn't really apply here. Beasley isn't good enough to be thinking, "I want to carve my own niche and beat the best team." Realistically, the ONLY way he can resurrect his career is to be a contributor on a winning team. Plus, the only teams that could afford to take a chance on him a vet-heavy teams that are already contenders, like Miami, the Pacers, the Spurs and even the Clippers. Of those teams, the HEAT needed him the most.

Being on a great team masks a lot of his faults tho

all of this and oden's yet to play a full season, at this point he would be happy to play with a highschool jv girls team

If th Knicks sign Oden and Beasley they're idiots for bringing in a pothead and an injury prone center.

Only stacked if they pan out lol. Oden hasnt played in years and has never stayed healthy. Beas might end up having some off court issues that would result in his removal lol.

But if they both end up productive then yeah.. Heat are pretty stacked. Lol.
