OFFICIAL 2015-2016 College Football Season Thread

They would need to make the hire ASAP after the season is over...according to Shaq's dad some of the early enrollies are getting restless but it does us no good to make the hire right now if it's Butch without pursuing other possible interested parties

People look at job listings. I'd say Saban would be a fool to leave for an unstable situation but he'd be an even greater fool to not listen to pitches.

Rumors flying now the Colts offer would be $10-12 million.

I'm gonna keep posting coaching rumor because they're fun to me, but at this point I'm pretty certain it's just agents whispering for raises.

In re: USC - A LOT more Harbaugh smoke. That possibility is real. Scout writers saying the Payton thing was just early talks but they expect him to stay in the NFL (Dolphins)

So Saban's gonna keep leveraging Alabama for raises? At some point you'd have to think some of the pro rumors are real.

10 mil pro or college just seems unreal for any coach let alone Saban.

Um...yeah. Every year these rumors come up is another year Nick can pump fake like he's interested until they pony up.

Well outside of the Texas thing (which I still don't believe) doesn't his raises are incentive based?

That being said I don't think he goes anywhere either.

A number of different reports from Kansas City that Gary Pinkel is resigning because of health reasons.

Interesting. Hope he gets better, but the interesting timing with everything going on at the school.

Reports now saying he will retire, effective December 31st. Was diagnosed with lymphoma in May.
