man, Baron Davis ain't lying in that trailer about it being dead smack in the middle of the hood
Me and my boy were this close to going last summer... but this morbidly obese Asian and prematurely balding white guy got scared and chickened out
That isn't the hood...At least to me. Washington Park, where The Drew League was at before it went to King Drew, now that was the hood. King Drew? Not So much
Besides, it's a fantastic environment to be a part of. Literally is nothing but good food, Good music, college / pro level ballers, seriously trying to go at it. All for free. Other than the location, i've never seen anything "hood" about it. I guess what I would describe it as, is just everything that is right about black / hip-hop culture if that makes any sense.

first thing I thought about when he fouled someone intentionally to be subbed out of the game. Part of that out of shape players club (Carmelo, Baby Davis, Dudley, and Felton). Best of everything in the training world and never make weight...

But nah the food isn't for free, but you can just kick it all day and watch hoops there free of charge. That to me is so cool, especially when guys like KD or James Harden and all those guys fall through.
