I watched Desean at Poly, Cal, pros, etc. Same with Dorsett (except pro level since he's unproven there) Desean cracked 1,000 yds once, never had 10+ TD receptions in a season. Dorsett had 800+ yds as a sophomore. Got injured as a Junior so, those numbers are a wash. Senior year? 800+ yds receiving and 10 TDs. Cal had a consistent 7-6 record when DeSean played there. Dude is not head and shoulders above Phillip. If anything at this same point in their careers, they are equal. Desean is a proven pro, game changer, and pro bowler. Now, if Phillip gets to the pros and flops, I'll be eating my words but, whatever. If Troy Williamson and Cordarrelle Paterson, Darius Heyward-Bey are first rounders, Desean (we all know he should've been a 1st rounder in '08") and Dorsett are worthy first rounders. Like I said, they aren't just fast/world class sprinter type dudes playing football, They're football players with true football skills. We all know drafting isn't exact science but, I think people get things misconstrued in terms of skill and production. For example, I'll take a guy who runs a 4.6 40, w/average size and sure hands AND route running, over those workout worriors with speed, strength, and no true football skills. That's what this all boils down to.
