I mean...Hoge is who he is, but the long windup of has been a main criticism of Winston, which is consistent with Leftwich. Although Byron's was much more pronounced.

I don't think most ESPN dudes have a clue, but I can see a resemblance. I think Winston is the goods though.

Leftwich had no where near the arm though, which is what kills those guys who have long windups..

Like with kaep.. His windup isn't an issue.. Reading a defense, now that's a deferent story
 
Yeah...I remember that windup and when he released just thinking 'fastball.' Dude was a pitcher in the pocket. He could sling for sure. Winston doesn't have that arm strength, but doesn't need it.
 
He didnt have the same arm as winston.. Or kaep..

But even with those guys having a big windup.. Neither of theirs is as bad as leftwich's was

The mental aspect of the game is what will set Jameis apart from a guy like Leftwich. Really think Jameis is gonna be a beast if he ends up in TB, they got a nice nucleus for him to come in and do some work right away.

Leftwich looks like he's doing a windmill before every throw:



I got winston more like kaep where there got that elongated motion
 
Yes. We agree on the windmill, but he had a strong arm. No doubts. Not sure what you're trying to prove here. :lol

I'm not saying dude has a Chad pennington level arm.. But I don't think he has an arm like Winston or kaep have

Winston has what, like a 90+ mile an hour fast ball?

Kaep blows these dudes away. The fact that Winston is in that realm to you makes me question. Arm still wasn't like Left.

Just about all NFL quarterbacks are throwing 90+ on a radar gun. That's irrelevant.

Kap has an A++ arm , strength wise

There's no one in this draft approaching that, as far as the major names

Kaep is my comparison for winston's throwing motion..

I'll readily admit I don't watch too much college football and play catch come this time of year.. And maybe I'm just not remembering Leftwich too great.. But I thought winston had a better arm than him

Of all the things wrong with him, that wasn't one. All-time level bazooka.
