OFFICIAL 2016 @HEAT PLAYOFF THREAD

Legit question, what changes do y'all think need to be made, y'all have a solid team, what gives?
We play down to our opponent's way to much. We got beat tonight the same way the pistons blew us out last month. Giving up wide open 3s against them. You would think something would be fixed from then to now but idk.

Our offense is garbage and Spo is unclutch with his rotations. I think we need to get another ball handler to get the ball out of Wade's hands because Dragic's too passive next to Wade and Wade is way too ball dominant(not to mention free reign from Spo). The ball just sticks way too much with the starters, If Clippers really want Deng like I've heard, I'd do Deng for Lance. Lance was the heart of those Pacers teams, he's a decent defender/great ball handler/good motor and can help Wade play more off the ball like we need him to. We're going to live or die on Wade hero ball otherwise because our defense nor offense is dependable enough to count on going forward. Spo's rotation's... speak for themselves

Deng for lance what are you smoking? Pass that b

We need shooters
Lance is a young, cheap, talented and experienced guard. The way our roster is set-up, we're just not going to be a great shooting team... midas whale play to our strengths and hope we can get greater volume out of Tj,Dragic,Bosh,Green,McBob (and Deng otherwise). Dragic is too passive, going forward he's only going to defer to Wade like he did Bledsoe in Phoenix. We need somebody who isn't afraid to take the ball out of Wade's hands and make plays... Lance needs a team that could give him the freedom to play his game and again we need somebody to take the ball out of Wade's hands so he can play more off the ball. Lance can be immature but he is a competitor and a proven performer still in his prime. I rather take this insignificant risk on the behave of Deng who's likely going to be gone next year anyway, on a hungry, experienced 25 year old talent instead of ripping apart our team for the limbs Melo/Joe Johnson/Howard or whomever else has been rumored to come save us.

With the type of free lance(no pun intended) offense we play, he'd already be in his atmosphere. With our roster I think he could be better than he was in Indiana, and he was a monster.

and like they said im glad we got deng, but we NEEDED lance for that spark man. and deng has reached his ceiling. lance hasnt. lance hasnt even matured yet

he could be a superstar if he got serious, and riley would've made him do that. PLEASE let us go after lance stephenson....
yall never listen to me lol.

Dude was a monster. Not many teams will let him be himself like they did in Indiana, he tried to pick his team up out of their slump with his antics and as a result took the fall when they failed when he was one of the only one's consistently playing hard. He was the heart in those Pacers teams, never had discipline issues(going to practice, staying in shape) and was always competitive in the playoffs, because of his rep we could probably get him cheap. Our sublimely uncreative offense could use him. He hasn't digressed physically (dude is only 25) and still hungry. For Deng, I would do it in a sec.

I think he has a lot of talent don't get me wrong. If anyone could fix his attitude it's Riley (or Pop). But the man cannot hit consistent 3pt shots. Why trade away a team guy like Deng (not the greatest shooter but he's reliable), for a wild card like lance. If you are going to trade Deng get some reliable shooters for him

We don't have many expendable players and shooters aren't very easy to come by. Apart from that, our starters have some real chemistry issues (or don't fit in well together). We can't let go of Tj, Green, Winslow and whether he gets credit for it or not McBob has held us down very well defensively and is a very versatile big man that could hurt us to lose. Only real expendable players that play regular minutes is Deng and Possibly McBob, we could get Shump and JR smith today and we'd probably still be a mediocre to poor 3pt shooting team... our teams just not built for it but I don't think we really need to be a great three point shooting team to be good team, just average could make us good. Spurs only have one player shooting over 30% from 3 in their starting line-up with just about as many shooters as we do, thy're not doing bad. Our problem is that we don't have anything going offensively and we're depending too much on iso's. We're also not shooting enough three's. Deng's a great player and I'd love to have him in the playoff's but he's been a step slower this year and his value's been decreased to being a stretch 4... Our starters are having trouble finding each other and Deng starting at the three is not really helping

is deng a reliable shooter? if not, its an upgrade because lance, tho not a reliable shooter, is an x factor (or wildcard as u put it) on offense. you look at our offense right now. just tke a look. we need to do anything we can to shake it up.

Lance isn't even getting consistent minutes right now with the clips I'm pretty sure. He's not a upgrade over deng at all. I'd take deng in playoff time over lance any time of the week.

based on? exactly what did deng do in the last playoffs that has yall so sprung? i LIKE deng, i do. but i see more potential in lance for our team. easily. deng has reached and is distancing himself from his potential. lances potential hasn't even been reached yet.

Provided they were willing to work together- Wade and Lance could be a tandem. Two of the best passing wings in the league playing next to each other. With Wade and Goran and Bosh/Whiteside not seemingly being compatible, that pairing could give us something to mold our offense around and finally have an identity.

He's not getting the same opportunities to handle the ball and play his game like he did before. I think our offense is liberal enough to give him the role he's looking for

He's logged more meaningful playoff minutes. Plays under control. And is a guy if we get matched up with Cleveland is someone with experience in guarding bron. Not saying he's gonna stop him. Lance has had 1 meaningful playoff series. 1. He got shipped out of Charlotte last year to. There's a reason hes not sticking.

Luol's 30 and moves like he's 35. He's played only 6 more playoff games than Lance at this point and Lance played a bigger role and even helped carry a team to back-to-back ECF appearances compared to Luol's 1 appearance. I love Luol but I'd have no prob with the trade whether it was a make or miss. He's gone after this season anyway, in this instance we'd at least get a prospect in return
