REPORT: Steve Sarkisian To Join Alabama Coaching Staff rollbamaroll.com/2016/9/4/12791…

Yeah I posted in here a couple weeks ago that Kiffin had been trying to get this done earlier in the summer. I think people thought it was a bad rumor but SC people were adamant that it was already in the works.

No surprise that they waited til the night of this mauling to announce it. Saban is a super villain.

Honestly USC didn't look good at all, Bama just had to get to their real QB to get it going

I don't know what to take away from the game tbh. That when facing a pocket QB SC's defense can stop the run? That Adoree is good? That this version of the offense takes more deep shots?

That it's game 1 and we're down to our 3rd string LT? :lol

The line played very well early, were getting good pressure against Bama but once the kid got comfortable back there it was over.

Bama also completely erased JuJu which won't happen in pretty much every other game.

I disagree with the coaching staff using Adoree less on offense.

It's the NCAA, if you have a guy who's a world class Olympic level athlete, you use him as much as possible.

Besides Juju and maybe Williams, they don't even have another guy on offense close to his level.

Watched some post game interviews: The defense without throwing the offense under the bus basically threw them under the bus :lol

They pointed out that they held Bama scoreless for 22 minutes and forced a few turnovers and the o line let Bama completely dominate with just their front four.

One very bright spot everyone keeps pointing out though: Adoree made Calvin Ridley completely vanish. 2 receptions 9 yards. Bad news is not one SC receiver got separation at all from any of Bama's d backs. They made some spectacular catches but they were smothered.

Chris Hawkins talked about the long pass play to Stewart and said "I blitzed and got knocked down by Biggie [Marshall] and realized if both of us are here getting knocked down, there's no one in coverage on that side.

The coaches talked about there being a lot of mistakes in the 2nd half and Tee Martin took a lot of the blame essentially saying "I need to figure out how to help us get early down yards because if I'm calling 3rd and 10 plays every time it doesn't matter how great the play is, well never be able to do anything."

I didn't watch the game with sound. Can anyone tell me what was going on with #15 from Bama? I noticed it looked like he and Adoree and some others were going at it verbally and shoving every time he was involved in a play and then I saw him in a shoving match with a team mate on the sideline and Saban had to come over.

nobody can be surprised at USC getting spanked. This was expected, unless you;re an absolute homer.

52-6 spanked? No. That wasn't expected. But I legit would have taken it as a W if USC kept it within 14.

USC hasn't been a physical team in a while now. We haven't passed the eye test since PC days. Bama checks all of that, and then some. These are grown men. Guys who have a mission, the eye on the prize (National Championships and the NFL). USC tells themselves they want to win NC and get to the NFL. We have a bunch of phonies who think they are that guy because of the jersey they put on and what that program was some 10 years ago.

Toss in the fact they hired a great person, but a guy who had ZERO business getting a head coaching gig at a premier program. Dude didn't even get to call plays until last year! How you gonna be an OC and not call plays. Thats like being a porn star put not being able to perform in scenes. He legit was hired because he's a GREAT PERSON.

From day 1, I said they were screwed with this hire. They overacted, made the decision to take the interim tag off him because they wanted so badly to make it to the Rose Bowl, they thought this would inspire the team to go out there and upset Stanford. Nobody can tell me any different. Why couldnt they wait until after that Stanford game to give him the job? Gets the gig because they beat UCLA, but was destroyed by Oregon the prior week. He was 5-2 when they took the interim tag off, but it was extremely miss leading. 3 of those wins were games they barely won to the likes of Cal, AZ, and Colorado.

Haden screwed us. This whole program has to reset their mentality. They continue to hire unworthy candidates because they think so highly of themselves. They think they can toss in someone with a pulse and it will get the job done. How many more examples do they need until they understand they need a real coach? I said it before, hiring Helton would set them back 5 years. Didn't think he would survive 2 seasons. Well, he might not even survive 1 with a new AD. And what coach wants to come here now? This program is in shambles thanks to poor decisions.

It is what it is. My expectations have been realistic with this program. Its a program who is lucky to get to 10 wins, but 8-9 is what they are capable of.
