Official 2017 Knicks Offseason thread, Phil Jackson gone

naw, he came in at what 24 with a terrible jump shot. i knew he wasn't gonna be more than a role player. then again, so was Caldo at the time. EXCEPT, Caldo could actually hit a 3.

Jennings is a burger, no cheese. He's given us a few good quarters but I wouldn't call him a good signing by any means. Phil signed a back up to be a back up..

Was Jamal Murray the pick we gave away?

Sorta

Technically, it's Jakob Potli. Toronto drafted Potli with Nuggets' pick (the pick we gave away for Bargnani)

Murray is the guy that Nuggets decided to swap their pick with our pick (Melo trade)

In 2013 the veterans kept everyone in check and accountable

That was the difference

Melo with the 1 MVP vote though

i'm bored AF at work, so i'll make my list

let's start with the BAD

- hiring Fisher and firing Woodson. SN might have had a stagnant offense, but he did coaches us to 54 wins, and we needed some type of head coaching continuity. it wouldn't have been as bad of a firing/hiring if he didn't give the job to a person with ZERO coaching experience.

- trading Chandler's expiring contract for Caldo. now if he took Jae Crowder instead of the 2nd round pick, this would've been a much much better trade.

- Bargs

- trading JR and Shump for nothing

- his inability to keep his mouth shut to the media

- Rambis

- should've made Melo take less money

- giving Noah all that damn money

- trading THJR for Grant, who doesn't even play for us anymore

- resigning Lance

- insisting on the triangle for far too long

the GOOD...kinda

- signing KOQ, Lopez, Kuz, Jennings, and Billy to very cap friendly deals

- Courtney Lee

- getting us Rose

- drafting KP. he only gets credit for this, bc we could've ended up with okafor or mudiay.

2k released new roster overalls

Melo got dropped to n 85, which is the same overall as KP

New York Knicks

Carmelo Anthony: 85 OVR (-1)
Derrick Rose: 81 OVR (-1)
Willy Hernangomez: 75 OVR (+1)
Lance Thomas: 71 OVR (-1)
Ron Baker: 65 OVR (-1)

Why don't we just risk it all and take flyers on players no one wanted (except Rondo)

Chalmers and Lance healthy yet?

Let's talk Larry Sanders back into the game

Larry Sanders was putting up 10/10 with 3 blocks before he quit :smh:

Rondo would still be our 3rd PG and get no burn, which is the exact situation that's happening in Chicago. i would say the Cavs need a PG, but him and Bron aren't the best of friends.

That makes no damn sense at all

Talent doesn't mean a damn thing if you don't want it.

I hope you don't run no business

'I see you got straight A's. You're really smart. Tell me a little bit about yourself.'

'I don't want this job. I'm just here for the money.'

'No desire to do this job at all, eh. I have no guarantee that you'll show up to work everyday, come on time, and get the work done. But gee, well I'll hire you anyway because you're a really smart guy.'

Notable FA PGs:

Mario Chalmers
Jarrett Jack
Steve Blake
Norris Cole
Toney Douglas
Kendall Marshall

orrrrr we could just call up Chasson Randle

Out of that list, ill only take Kendall Marshall

Mario got that torn ACL, he aint gonna bounce back right
Same goes for Jarret Jack, thats why the cavs let hm go
Steve blake retired after he got waived last season if im not mistaken

Norris and Toney are eh to me, ill take Kendall over both of them.

is KP playing tonight?

Best option is to drop Ndour/Plumlee for Randle
