Official 2017 Knicks Offseason thread, Phil Jackson gone

You got it! I barely see Rose do his Pick and Pop now.. That was money with Boozer/Gasol.

That Bulls Org is something washed up though.
It was a go to set play every time up the court, either it set up an open driving lane for him or it was a money jumper for Booze/Gasol.

60% of the time it worked every time

Also as to the people who are surprised by Pooh being top 10 in jersey sales still.... He has a HUGE following. For some it may be easy to forget with the recent emergence of certain superstars in the league / what have you done lately for me time frame we are in now but Derrick was THAT DUDE when he was on the court.

His size + Athleticism and sheer power and craft at finishing at the rim was the first of its kind we've seen from the PG position. He was doing what Russy is doing now (minus the Triple Doubles) before Russy. Not to mention he was the hometown Kid and #1 pick. Youngest MVP Ever, had no problem with going up against the big bad Miami Heat dolo basically. Boozer was inconsistent, and his starting 2 was Keith Bogans

, albeit an *** whooping in 4-1 series that first year (I was there live for all games

) he put the team on his back and made stuff exciting and interesting.

I moved from Chicago down to Miami in 2014 and still to this day he is the jersey I see the most down here whether it be Bulls or Knicks he's got a large following. The Chicago Bulls jersey is iconic cause of Mike.. That #1 Rose though just looks so good, a lot of foreigners have that red bulls #1, crazy how often I see it down here. Also people just want to see other people bounce back and do well. The injuries ******* suck but it happens, it's happened to plenty of people before him and it will unfortunately continue.

He did that a lot with Gasol/Boozer. Knicks bigs set their picks too high for that.

Gasol and Boozer loved to set their picks at the free throw line area.

its like the big o did it for nothing...not taking away anything from DRose talents but stick to the undisputable youngest MVP narrative.

The Knicks have tried -- unsuccessfully -- to engage the Cavaliers in Carmelo Anthony-for-Kevin Love trade talks in advance of the league's Feb. 23 trade deadline, ESPN.com has learned.

League sources told ESPN.com on Wednesday that the Knicks have approached the Cavaliers to gauge their interest in swapping All-Star forwards but were told that Cleveland is not interested in such an exchange.

The Knicks' thinking, sources said, is that they would have gone to Anthony to discuss waiving his no-trade clause had Cleveland shown interest in the deal. Anthony is one of only three NBA players with a full-no trade clause in his contract, alongside Cleveland's LeBron James and the Mavericks' Dirk Nowitzki.

James has been vocal on multiple occasions in recent weeks about the Cavaliers' need for another seasoned point guard on the roster as well as another big man to fill the voids created by the offseason departures of Matthew Dellavedova and Timofey Mozgov.

Although James and Anthony are incredibly close and have both expressed interest in playing together someday, sources say Cleveland is not prepared to surrender Love to get him after the role Love played in helping the Cavaliers win the first championship in franchise history last June.

having Love would force KP to the 5 and we would still have Noah, KOQ, and Billy. it just doesn't make sense. we would need to take back a wing player for this to work. Love for Melo straight up was never going to work for either team.

Love locked up Curry that last possession of the NBA Finals. I'd keep him too if I was the Cavs :lol

Love earned the right to stay on that Cavs team. And this is coming from someone that clowned that Love/Wiggins trade.

Why haven't they contacted someone to come work with our young bigs? They're loaded with potential. I fear it'll be wasted or am I tripping? Just get Olajuwon on the phone lol
