If you can't switch 1-4 w/o dying then you'll lose against Golden State, no matter who's playing on offense. You'd probably need a combination of Anthony davis, Jimmy Butler, Kawhi, Paul George or something like that to seriously beat them.

I don't understand why teams don't make Green beat them from 3.

Only works if hes a ball hog and thinks he can actually shoot 3s. Dude hella unselfish. Def not gonna happen. Dude is a more than willing passer. He'll move the rock. Hes never made to shoot more than..what 2-3 a game all in the 1st-2nd qtr. Teams just dont have the personnel to stay disciplined on d for 48 minutes.

When the hell did i "criticize" waiting on two young guns to develop?

That's NORMAL. They're 21 and 22. That's what they're supposed to be doing. I keep my young talent together and let them naturally progress together. I'm not expecting them to be contenders...and I'm only splitting them up if it makes my team SIGNIFICANTLY better.

Jimmy Butler DOES NOT make the Minnesota Timberwolves significantly better.

If Boston trades for Jimmy Butler....that makes sense. That's adding a player to a team where his strengths can significantly improve upon what I already have in place. Not Minnesota.

They're still a mile behind the top 4-5 teams in the West. Some of you ****** think making the playoffs comes with a trophy or something. I'm not splitting up my young core to just simply make the playoffs.

anytime you're ready to wager on the Twolves prospects this season, let me know. Butler won 40+ games with bums the past couple of season. No doubt they win 40+ with guys who are going to continue to improve

Stay at home on everyone else. He'd have to score 60 before I changed my defensive scheme.

Lowkey outside of his passing he was a below average offensive player this year.

Big reason why I said Blake > Draymond this year and why I didn't think he was an all NBA player this year.

Draymond struggles SO BAD when he has to play individual offense. Like cringeworthy bad. Towards the end of last season it was so bad he was doing old man moves like blatantly going under arms to try and score. He had a good playoff run though.

it's why if you can switch everything you leave GSW in a "bad" position because Draymond is initiating offense most of the time, and if you can switch the floppy's, switch the pindowns, etc. then you force Draymond to make plays for himself.

I was all for letting your PG guard Draymond.
A big key to OKC going up 3-1 on GSW in the first place was this.

They switched everything, and didn't overreact when Draymond got a "Mismatch" on him when Waiters was guarding him. They watched Draymond throw up boo boo repeatedly and it worked to their advantage.

It's easier said than done though obviously. Mainly because when you play GSW and you're trying to play D like that, you're kind of going against habits that are built and ingrained in you which are fine against every team not named golden state.

Yea they cut the cord on Zach a bit too early given that Jimmy is 28 and they missed the playoffs last year. And he's an awkward fit :lol

Too early in their process to make deals like that. Jimmy gonna be on the wrong side of 30 by the time they make any legitimate noise.

IF you ask me Jimmy already on the wrong side of 30 in his case :lol. Boy got miles on him like he already 36.

Lmao this is true

I want the Wolves to do good but their team is built around two midrange jump shooting iso players and a big man who isn't a very good defender. Not a good recipe for success. I don't blame them for trading for a proven guy like Butler though.

Wolves trading for Butler doesn't make sense. Idc man. Trading Dunn after one year..and Lavine after 3? For a 28 year old? Just doesn't make sense in the grand scheme of things.

i'd be shocked if lavine or dunn will ever be as good as jimmy
you cant wait for these kids to develop. you already have another two young stud that are better (KAT and wiggins)

That Cavs team would beat the Warriors in 5.

PG is a huge offensive and defensive upgrade over Love. And Melo would hit every open jumper he gets unlike JR/Shump/Korver. For the millionth time, you dont beat this Warriors team on the defensive side of the ball. The all defensive team last year was...

Cp3
Avery Bradley
Kawhi
Draymond
Gobert

That team would get absolutely washed too.

You dont know bball at all. You dont beat them on defense? So the key is to outscore them? While theyre playing historic defense against you? Lmaoooo...theres a shirt somewhere that needs a body in it.

You don't beat great offense with defense. Doesn't happen sorry. Great offense will ALWAYS trump defense. Defense and rebounding wins championships yes. But not in this case. Look at what the warriors did to a top defense and rebounding team in the Jazz.

Stopping them for 4 games? LMFAO **** outta here. You gotta match that fire power.

Before Lavine went down...there was legit debate on here about whether Wiggins was actually better or not...so that's not exactly such a given.

If Thibs traded Wiggins for Butler I'd feel x100 better about that trade.

The construct as is makes them worse in my opinion.

The Wolves slander the last few pages :hat :hat :hat

Any Wolves talk is appreciated :hat :hat :hat

Point is this the greatest offensive team possibly ever. You will not stop them in 4 games. Won't happen. I don't care how good your defense is. The one game the Cavs won they hit every single shot they threw up. That was the only way they'd have a chance against this specific warriors team

They only got 1 game though. Spurs were beating them by 23 with great defense until Kawhi went out. That Cavs squad would lose in 5.

Lol please stop. This is getting embarrassing.

Don't understand the Wolves trade slander. This is a star-driven league and the Wolves went out and got themselves a star.

That Spurs game was too small of a sample size to know what would happen the next 4+ games.
