Over 50% of CP's shots came from the midrange. He's one of the greatest midrange shooters the league has ever seen, while the rockets abandon that shot completely.
He's also a notoriously slow PG who prefers to play in the halfcourt and D'antoni is obviously the complete opposite of that.
Not to mention the whole Harden / CP both being Point guards who dominate the ball.
I can't think of a worse pairing on paper. But great players / talent works itself out so If I was houston It wouldn't deter me but still, it's terrible.

Feel like CP operates so much from midrange because of the dynamic of their roster. Of course he is also superb in that space no question. I don't think it would be a challenge for him to not get that much of his offense from midrange. Harden isn't the fastest guard either, he makes it work
When LAC plays downhill, led by CP, they look like a different monster. I always wish CP was more aggressive and played a little faster more often because whenever he does push the gas pedal it's a noticeable difference to the whole offense

as stated above, stylistically, its not a match. can CP3 stop dribbling for 19 seconds of every possession and be content with getting the spurs into their offense? IDK

Could the fact Lebron has been linked to rumors that he may go to the Lakers in 2018 be a focal point in Boston's attempt to convince PG13 to stay with the Celtics long term should he get traded to BOS?
I can just see Ainge telling PG13: "With the Celtics, you become the number one option, the Alpha leader of our team. If you go to a Laker team with Lebron, you become second fiddle and lose all the spotlight."
