Chris' people did talk to the Clippers today, maybe they told him something he didn't want to hear and he's using this as leverage.

Over 50% of CP's shots came from the midrange. He's one of the greatest midrange shooters the league has ever seen, while the rockets abandon that shot completely.
Tell me more, I'm intrigued
Hmm, I wonder where Harden ranks in terms of pounding the basketballNothing about Chris Paul pounding the air out of the basketball for 19 seconds fits what Pringles wants to do. The guy who is the architect behind seven seconds or less.
Feel like CP operates so much from midrange because of the dynamic of their roster. Of course he is also superb in that space no question. I don't think it would be a challenge for him to not get that much of his offense from midrange. Harden isn't the fastest guard either, he makes it work

He's also a notoriously slow PG who prefers to play in the halfcourt and D'antoni is obviously the complete opposite of that.
Not to mention the whole Harden / CP both being Point guards who dominate the ball.
I can't think of a worse pairing on paper. But great players / talent works itself out so If I was houston It wouldn't deter me but still, it's terrible.

I'd like to see CP3 go to SAS. I feel like they are the perfect fit for each other.
Phil gonna come to the Lakers as a consultant if Dolan gives him the ax. Gonna take over Rudy T's old position.
