Solid weekend for the boys, the exception being yesterday.
People keep saying why do we keep pitching to McCutchen, well, it was Greinke. Why the **** not?
Anyway...
I think short term, you go for the Middlebrooks/Ethier swap. Yeah, Middlebrooks isn't that great, but if it means eating less money then I'm all for it. You can't clog up the right side of the infield anyway. It's either going to be Hanley or Saeger in that spot in 2015/2016. They have depth in the middle infield now that it looks like Dee Gordon, Alex Guerrero and Arrabuablahblah can play. They need catching depth, the outfield situation needs to be uncluttered, and obviously the bullpen needs to be overhauled.
Otherwise, 7 games out in June is no bueno. Still not worried, this team has proven it can go on a run, the talent is there, but still not good to be in this type of hole.
At this point the only untouchables in the system are Pederson, Urias and Saeger. I think anyone else is up for grabs.
