Real question, why can’t the Pels get high level talent to surround Anthony Davis with? They Jrue, solid and capable, and they have Davis, superstar. I really hope he doesn’t bolt N.O., he is the type of talent that should be built around, at any and all costs, so I just don’t get it. Dope city, check, Superstar, check, decent coach, check, so what’s missing?

Let's say the Mavs had a top 5 pick. Do you draft another high usage wing to go with Luka/dsj or do you target a big knowing dj is expiring?

Pretty sure they've had some bad contracts that have given them the inability to sign big time free agents. They made their move for Boogie, but unfortunately he got hurt and it didn't really work out how folks wanted it to. They aren't going to have enough money to sign one this upcoming summer either. Writing is on the wall. Pretty confident he tells management that he's not going to re-sign and they trade him this summer.

Somebody like Reddish would be a perfect fit with them, as he's already playing a similar role now at Duke to the one he'd be playing in Dallas.

Don't think I see them landing in that top 5 though. Think they fight for a playoff spot. They have decent, albeit young talent and one of the better coaches in the league.

misuse of cap space, I still can’t believe they gave soloman hill 50m because he shot well in a single playoff series

Used all their cap space on above average guys & missed/traded their draft picks, same thing Cleveland did in Bron’s first tenure.

They moved Chris Paul for basically Eric Gordon & a pick.

EJ stayed hurt & never got better. That pick became #10 in a shallow draft. Then they used all of their cap space to re-up EJ, trade for Ryan Anderson, and later Tyreke. Then they trade their next TWO picks for Jrue Holiday. Used more let EJ walk, but then use the cap space on guys like Omer Asik & later Solomon Hill.

Then just bad luck with Cousins getting hurt.

I know we live in the hype era but some of this **** got me rolling my eyes bruh
I think a lot of the Luka stuff has to do with people gloating about "being on the right side" of the debate with him. A lot of (not so smart) dudes, some which are in here, completely thought he'd bust. As of right now, he's been the best player on a team fighting for a playoff spot.

It's a shame the Mavs waited to put this type of roster together until Dirk's legs were falling off.

This roster with prime-Dirk... :smh:
