Folks shouldn't think highly of a guy that was the 1B option in his second season for a team that was 1 game from the Finals? After being a 40% 3pt shooter and being one of the better defenders in the league during the regular season.

He’s just Bambi. He still has so much to learn.
Best situation for him would prolly to the best player on a bad team so that he could grow, be allowed to make mistakes & find his game.
He’s in a tough spot right now. Team can’t really wait around for his development. Kuzma is older and just fits better with Lebron.
I can’t tell you what he’s gunna be in this league but I can tell you he’s very skilled. He can get his shot off at damn near any time. The problem is he doesn’t take good shots. To reach the next level as a player, he’s going to have to majorly improve his 3pt rate, 3 point % and free throw %. He’s a good slasher, I can see him attempting 10 free throws a game but it won’t matter if he can’t hit em.
Oh and he’s been doing a really good job defensively on wings this season. Good to see his growth on that end. Advanced stats don’t look good now but they’ll catch up to his improvements eventually.
