Would you say thats an ideal situation for your Lakers?

Of course it isn't ideal, it's also not some franchise shattering demise that the media keeps trying TMZ their way into. This entire thing was just a televised Magic tweet

Basically all we've got out of this is Magic thinks Jeanie could be a better leader, Rob Pelinka took his job, & Magic admittedly was under prepared to do his job at the time.

But all this extra BS that comes out daily about the most random of things holds no merit.

That was riveting TV, even though my team is a disaster. I've met Magic a couple times, he's definitely a straight shooter. I think most of this is so that he can just get his side out before the Lakers put their spin on what happened because the whole current regime has been MIA since the season ended.

Soooooo where exactly is this new information???

Magic Lost his job in favor of Pelinka.. We kinda knew that
Jeanie Buss listens to her inner circle, which includes Kurt & Linda Rambis... We knew that

So in all reality you take the Lakers name out of this and you have

1) A Gm was fired in favor of another GM
2) An owner listens to trusted people in their circle to make decisions

This is the "story" here?

Stockholm syndrome

enlighten me on what new information was shared here, what was the major development out of this. I would love to know

How did you kinda know these things when you said all the Lakers stories were false rumors?

magic called out Rob saying he was talking **** behind his back, which played a major role in quitting. I don’t remember hearing that before.

Wasn’t it the emails Rob and Jeannie were ccing Magic on while talking about Magic?

again a bunch of shaderoom type rumors getting bounced back & forth from different media "sources" about how things are ran in the Lakers FO. This is only a story because it's the Lakers involved, nobody has any proof as to how much Rambis is involved with the decisions made, nor do they have any clue whatsoever if Rambis is a good/bad front office person or if he could be valuable.

That's what's killing me about this whole the sky is falling theory about the Lakers FO. 90% of the people complaining about it to that extent can't name you more than 5 FO guys and those are the prominent ones who have been in there positions for years, they damn sure can't tell you about the assistant Gm's or the inner workings of other GM's "circles".

a lot of people don't even have a basis, on how to judge front office people's track record. it's just regurgitated narratives created by bloggers & media people about who is good or not. No front office person comes directly into a new situation and fixes everything overnight, they have to be allowed to build and during that stretch they will make mistakes.

That same thing can be said about every "rumor" that pops up in the media about the Lakers front office that's negative & taken as fact everytime.

Somebody needs to do a report on how many "media" outlets have been putting out ridiculous stories from "anonymous sources" involving the Lakers that are completely made up. It's reached new levels of propaganda.

There were reports everywhere saying that was the case. Ric Bucher went on TV saying there were emails. But until today nobody from the Lakers side had addressed anything. Even I was saying the day of and after that this was about Rob getting power and Magic's ability to supposedly make basketball decisions being taken away as a result.

There's literally two things that he confirmed (Which is FAR from being the stories the media has put out)

1) That Jeanie does in fact consult Rambis & Jackson on decisions, Dude was literally on a coaching search... where did i say this was false?
2) That Pelinka Was trying to oust Magic... Magic resigned, Pelinka has seemed to get more power... where did i say this was false?

Now let's see some things that have been reported that were confirmed by the parties involved to be false

1) Pelinka allowed Nance to buy a house in L.A and told him he wasn't getting traded.... Nance came out & said that was a lie
2) N.O Owner claims that she will not do any kind of a deal with the Lakers... The owner comes out and says that was a lie
3) Jeanie is thinking about trading Lebron (I would like to see it happen, but let's be serious)
4) Klay would prefer to be a Clipper this offseason if he doesn't stay wit GS... His own Father deemed that to be untrue

dudes are just putting out articles to get hits at this point . I understand the Laker hate, but the **** ain't adding up. FA's aren't making or breaking their decision on whether or not Kurt Rambis is influencing Jeanie.

too cats in here hedging their **** talking.... In the words of Nip Poke your Chest Out *****!!

Dudes will be betting against their squad winning/doing anything the entire time, and then when something good actually occurs it's a bunch of people with their shirts off acting like they were confident all along.
