If you're talking about trading away young players to tank, this year's draft results have shown that's not the move anymore. Different draft odds have changed that. Pelicans wasn't even trying to tank and they got Zion.

If you're talking about trading away young players to tank, this year's draft results have shown that's not the move anymore. Different draft odds have changed that. Pelicans wasn't even trying to tank and they got Zion.

Avoiding bad contracts is the biggest thing plus having multiple bites at apple (draft picks and cap space) also helps when going after young guys.. and then having cap space plus picks and movable contracts is also huge when building

Let some other team deal with the headache that comes with lonzo.. jrue has value to playoff teams.. and let some other team overpay for BI

I'll never understand the "Kyrie should have won Finals MVP" argument. Kyrie played great and hit an amazing shot but LeBron had a historically. Great series.

Major thing to consider with BI is that if you trade for him, you're committing to paying him. Hes a RFA after this season.
