I don’t think so. It’s makes them look like idiots, IMO. Knicks are probably the team that could most justify giving KD a max offer despite the injury.

Yes and no.

It makes sense to hesitate committing a max contact to KD after his injury. It only looks silly because it's the Knicks and they traded away Porzingis.
