I hate when people bring up the lakers

Gary Payton and Malone were old men, basically corpses

Mailman had a pretty good season up until he blew out his knee midway through that season in December.

If he was healthy and he tried to comeback in the Finals year. Lakers would have taken the championship that year.

i have to admit, regardless of where kawhi lands, following this thread for the past week has been hilarious. the changing tide of emotions

-a rocket fan quitting on the rockets and closing the window
-clipper fan seeking a seat in a support group; asking for sponsorship from a knicks fan
-lakers fans going from wanting DLo, possibly believing he was on his way, to saying **** DSnitch in matter of hours
-kawhi to the lakers confirmed, kawhi not to the lakers, kawhi back to the lakers just ironing out the details, kawhi meeting with clippers
-warriors fans trying to figure out how many pennies we got left in cap space

The irony in KD “finally having his own team” bs is pure disease of me, and buying into media narratives etc.

KD really got tricked out his spot...to chase a situation that he already had before and prove to people something he proved when he was 23 .

They essentially want him to lead a team deep in the playoffs and lose with a mercurial all star PG. As long as it opens a championship window for LeBron...they’re fine with it.

It’s comical.
It’s really wild. Most talented iso scorer ever leaves the two best shooters ever, at a time when he’ll be 32 coming off an achilles injury.

And the team never lost in playoffs, only had to play 1 real series in two years :lol

Wild.

He ain’t even meet with the raptors yet ... think we get an answer Tuesday / Wednesday .... before the 4th of July

It just goes to show you that no one is sure of a damn thing and we are all spectators.

It’s not always a linear progression like that. There’s plenty of teams that have gotten to that conference finals once and didn’t get back or go to the Finals
For sure. They def made roster improvements tho. Plus they been in the playoffs every year since 2014, growing and learning. Hopefully they take another step forward.

So Kiwi gave the Clips a courtesy call to tell them they’re out but not the Raptors? Cold blooded.
