CP came to Houston and told them how stupid that system was and they shipped his ***. Now he driving and kicking to diallo and Roberson. Cold game. Real humbling stuff.

Don’t think he plays with either guy, unless 1 of em gets traded with him.. I think diallo will be moved at the deadline thou, as will Adams to playoff teams loading up for playoff runs

Unless mavs make the move for dragic and Adams after Miami sends dragic to thunder

Making duke proud

They don't even have one tbh. Russ already on a steep decline. Good luck moving either one of those contracts

Yup.. max 2 years.. morey got desperate and made his huge play.. presti got job security so dude just going play a better version of hinkie’s game (or at least get to see it play out)

Steep? Naw but his game is his game. That’s not changing for anything or anyone. Houston is officially strapped for cash and without some sort of success nobody is walking through them doors for the amount they’ll get paid. Love Russ and Harden but they gotta do it NOW within the most loaded west in a decade I’d say

I don't understand why Morey's getting so much hate over this move.
CP3 is basically dead weight, and he had to get rid of his horrible contract.
Yes, Russ is making a lot of money but he's way better than CP3 at this point of their careers.

Also, you don't think Harden had any voice in this move? I'm sure him and Russ talked about the potential of playing together.
The Rockets have been stagnate over the years, and they had to make a change to keep up with the rest of the West.
With CP3's contract, the Rockets can only do so much to improve.
Why waste Harden's prime years with CP3 on his last legs.

Yes, analytically it's difficult to see Russ and Harden mesh with their game styles.
But the Rockets had to take a risk, similar to what the Raptors did with Kawhi.

Russ gives the Rockets that attacking the basket presence that nobody other than Harden (when he felt like it, and didn't do often enough) brought to the table. He's obviously not the shooter that CP3 is, and isn't as good of a decision maker, but he may not need to be. Gives the team a higher ceiling.

Morey had to make this move. Their window was closed shut after everybody else's moves and now it's slightly ajar. The most pressure is on Pringles though to now craft a system that maximizes both of these talents cause now instead of 1 Harden you basically have 2 but one that can't shoot in Russ. Just looking at it from the outside Harden going to have to be the one to relinquish the reigns and let Russ handle the ball more.

31 points to 25 to 22, 2nd lowest in the past 8 seasons. Lowest 3% in the past 9 seasons. Tied for lowest fg% in the past 9. Career worst ft% and lowest attempts in the past 9. Career high fouls which is telling. And if harden doesn't defer to him he's almost useless. Harden had 40% usage last year. Rockets cooked.

Let the worse player handle the ball more?

Harden is actually capable of playing off ball tho. Russ isn't, at all

Let the worse shooter handle the ball. Russ is an elite playmaker as well as Harden just playing the percentages he can do all those things that Harden did with Capela etc but Harden being off ball more in theory should space the floor. Neither one have shown the willingness to do much when the ball isn't in their hands I think James is the one that's most capable of doing so just cause of his shooting ability alone.

After thinkin about it, CP probly plays this season in OKC...buyout is unlikely and the trade market looking slim ...The Thunder need a big name to sell to the fans this year and CP known and still loved from his previous time there
