CP3 gonna have to give up 3/5 or maybe even 4/5 of the remainder of that contract if he expects any type of buyout.

Best case is to ride out 2 seasons in OKC and land on some team looking to clear salary in the third season.

He's 34 and possibly declining. He can't just ride out 2 seasons.

What’s the difference if he takes a buyout? Because if they can’t trade him isn’t his only option to take the buyout and choose where to play?

If he plays then what are they waiting for a PG somewhere to blow a knee and hopefully to get traded to replace them?

Why not my G? You telling me he can't show up to work and play 82 games (highly unlikely based on his injury history) for damn near 40M per season? I think most of us here could do that.:lol::lol:

Contrast his income to D.Rose's - he's in a far, far better situation.

Deron Williams seems to be doing alright. Don't think he's itching to be playing in the NBA now

If he takes a buyout, he leaves a lot of money on the table. He's got $120M coming his way for 3 more seasons. Say that OKC even gives him a $40M buyout, which teams are gonna give a contract even close to what he makes presently?

Thunder got him and 2 picks and still get to tank. Cp3’will stay until December. Okc hates cp3 btw. Going to be very odd :lol

Doc Rivers>>>>>>>>> Frank Vogel
Steve Ballmer >>>>>>>>> Jeanie Buss
Lou Willams >>>>>>>>> K .Kuzma
Kawhi Lenoard >>>>>>> 23 for the Lakers
Jerry WEST >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Rob Pelinka

Math isn't hard folks

CP3 is the head of the players association, he damn sure isn't gonna turn around and give a substantial part of that contract to play on a contending team. He's stuck unless someone trades for him..

I'm just hoping Bron doesn't try and get chris over here

Technically a trade of Danny Green/Bradley/KCP & one of Rondo/Cook could possibly get it done.. I just don't think We would take that contract going forward.

CP0 makes 38 mil this year. Those salaries combined aren't in the ballpark.

I wonder why did okc make the trade for cp3 in the first place if they were going to end up looking to trade him

Chris fought for older players getting big deal later so now it’s going to mean he just has to ride it out in OKC of all places. Man that wack but he’s making 30 plus mil so can’t feel all that bad for him.

I do wonder what the Lakers will do with Bron after this contract? Kobe getting that deal is a lot different than Bron thinking to the Lakers he’s worth that much but they could be desperate or Jeanie cleans house and the new group of guys thank Bron for his service and moves on.

OKC just gotta wait for the trade deadline desperation...right now it’s a bunch of teams viewing themselves as contenders based off the offseason...but in reality a couple of em always disappoints and would be ready to deal to stay in the contender convo...especially with a player CP3’s pedigree available

He has a player option but hopefully he just goes away
