Wall was in Rosebar too much and consistently came in outta shape. I wouldn't say the organization failed him. He's not a superstar player, Wiz just reached their ceiling which was a 2nd rd team.
Basically this. They went about as far they could.
All things considered...the Wall/Beal/Porter teams were a John Wall broken hand x Al Horford series winning putback and a Game 7 on Boston’s home floor from playing in ECF for 2 seasons. Which was about their ceiling anyway. Injuries derailed a a couple of those other years and you wonder if the injuries are related to his conditioning. Can’t blame the franchise entirely. Portland blew 4 years of Dame on Evan Turner and Meyers Leonard...and still they overachieved and made it to the WCF.
John Wall was going to be John Wall wherever he went...the good and the bad.
