Official 2019 NYK offseason thread. Brooklyn knick fans check in

Lots of teams want him. Probably believe we didnt develop him right or they could put him in better situations.

His value is at an all time low right now anyway. Would be a dumb move if its for a 2nd rounder or some other bum.

i honestly dont see the potential in frank... yes hes young but what will he improve on in a year or two from now? he hasnt even show flashes of being good...i see him being the landry fields type playing a few years in the league after the knicks then hes out the league for good

In order to trade him there has to be a Team that wants him. He’s not even worth a second round pick.
At this rate, they'll cut him, and some other team will give him a shot.
He would’ve been traded or just never developed her. We weren’t developing talent at that time.
When you think about it who have we ever drafted in the past 20 years that we evebtually trading that ended up an all-star? 1? Maybe 2?

Like we dont develop players but even then aint like we gave away a star. We got a longer list of players we didn't draft that have been all-stars :lol :{

I get that Frank is only 20 and KK is 19, but one definitely shows more potential than the other. Frank reminds me a lot of Thanasis Alphabet. He has the physical tools, but just isn’t an NBA player. Knox needs refining and to work on this demeanor. He’s also a teenager. More vets around him will help his maturity. Like the mentorship in 2k :lol

I already spoke my piece about Fiz before. Regardless of the roster, you have to have SOME kind of system in place. Like when all else fails, this is what we do. Instead, when all else fails, we do the same thing and iso.

Frank is 20, Knox is 19. It's literally a 1 year difference . They're both mature, level headed individuals that just really suck right now. Frank can use Kidd and Knox can use any veteran (PG?KD?) to take them under their wing.

Back to Fiz....I expected player development and building around defense. Fine we suck, but you cant sit here and say we dont have the personnel for a defensive team. There is no defensive team effort here. Trier has moments, Vonleh too. DSJ is solid on ball and puts effort in, Mitch is obviously nice, but the lack of team defensive schemes is 100% on the coach. How does a young team not play defense?

Nate McMillan has a majority of scrubs winning 50 games. We have a bunch of young guys with zero direction. Can you imagine Fiz coaching that Pacers team? They'd win 30 games max.

Did you read the Article where Kidd was talking with DSJ and Mudiay, and Frank was only 15 feet away but not involved in the conversation? That should tell you the Knicks don’t think **** about him. Right now they’re just trying to save face about ****in up another pick.

Age doesn’t mean everything. Tell me what makes you think Frank will be a legit player in 2 years. Seriously. At least with KK he just takes bad shots and needs to learn to defend better. Frank doesn’t shoot and tries to dribble or have the ball as least as possible. I can’t imagine this dude all of a sudden calling for an iso and breaking down a player like Trier, DSJR, or Mudiay. He literally does the bare minimum on the court.

Frank is at his best with the ball in his hands. Hiding him as a wing will do nothing for the team or his development. There's is literally zero reason they're investing so much into Mudiay's development compared to Frank. Franks bum *** always being hurt doesnt help either.

If this FA route works, having Frank on the roster will be very beneficial. He has a known elite skill. I'd like to hold on to him atleast until his contract is up. If we strike out on everyone this summer, fine trade him.

Fields left the league early due to nerve related surgery.

yes landry left early because he was injury prone... but even if he wasnt injured he wasnt doing much after the knicks... his stats werent impressive as a knick is my point...i dont see frank improving much once he leaves this team as a free agent or through a trade... he might be more durable compared to landry but the numbers wont be much different

Article by Berman though

He was a point guard or two guard his whole life. All his best games as a Knick came at the one.

Lets sign Franks brother

Frank literally tries to have the ball in his hand as little as possible

KD-Frank-Kyrie

Would’ve been funny to see how some would’ve behaved had we draft Giannas

“Wahhhh he’s not averaging 30 in his rookie season he’s a bust. Trade him. Fire the coach. Burn down MSG”

dont compare frank to giannis,... giannis was drafted 15th vs frank at 8th giannis came in as a project , he showed some flashes but looked way too raw, frank aint even seasoned at all.. still sitting in the package frozen

watching frank pass the half court line and pass it off 70 percent of the time isnt promise nor does it give me hope

Knox putting up bricks and still not scared to put up some bricks is cool with me ... as long as he's improving thats ok... frank hasnt improved in one area since being a pro

When did I say Frank’s name? I said if we would’ve had Giannas y’all would’ve cried about him his first yr. My point still stands

"Ntilikina’s second season has been as disappointing as his rookie year, when he was picked one spot ahead of Smith. His effective field-goal percentage (40 percent) ranks last in the NBA for eligible players."

Yikes. He's literally the worst player in the league right now.

There’s dudes in the G League better than him
