I smell a vintage Tanaka performance tonight

Positives:
-Encarnacion is ready for a ring
-Judge played well
-Stanton is seeing the ball well, and even if results are not what you expect, he’s out there hustling
-Maybin will be a big contributor on the bases
-Torres is a star
-DJ is a machine
Negatives:
-Didi isn’t seeing the ball well at all, hopefully his walk in his last at bat helps his confidence
-Bullpen went 4.1 IP 2H 5BB 1ER 5Ks, but it didn’t feel crisp.
It’s tough to get around our lineup. It’s unlikely everybody is going to have a bad night, and last night was that, somebody will be hot and will spark the offense.

Only thing I’m concerned about is how we pitched the 8th and 9th. I get Aroldis barely threw in September. And in a 10-4 game, no matter what he does, it’s not a confidence breaker, he wasn’t needed.. I can rationalize Chap.
But Happ was even a bigger head scratcher. Yeah it was only 1 inning and he was already warming up, but who knows if you need 3-4 innings from him Game 2. Up 10-4 in the 8th is a Cessa or Loaisiga moment.

A 10-4 game could get to 10-7 real quick if you throw an innings eater out there. Then you have to get Chapman up quickly and who knows what'd happen.
No one threw more than 18 pitches and they were all relatively stress-free. Everyone will be available today and it's an off day tomorrow.

The only other idea is DJ 2nd, Gleyber at SS.... And Voit at 1B... No thanks.
It goes the same going forward next year as well, I don’t want Gleyber as a SS. It’s way too risky of a position to play and it’ll wear him down a lot quicker.
Didi will eventually contribute at the plate. Even if it’s one at bat.
