Pretty sad we are not 1
A few guys stats in the last few months
Gardner on June 11th was hitting .217 and was proving we should be done with him. Since then
47 games .305/.397/.576 8HR 27RBI 22BB 30K
22 of his 46 hits are XBH
Tauchman since May 5th when he had a .179 BA.
44G .356/.430/.667 9HR 33RBI
Urshela from May 31st to July 2nd his batting average went from .338 to .301
Since July 2nd:
36G .408/.438/.800 12HR 28RBIs 15 2B
As of yesterday his BA was back up to .342
DJ LeMahieu since June 23
40G .373/.420/.645 10HR 33RBIs
We’re gonna have a lock jam in the OF and INF next year pending injuries (GC, A-a-Ron, Judge ) Tauchman proving himself to be a serviceable player like Voit (bring Gardy back? Or let him go?); imagine benching both players who were top 5 in AL batting averages (Gio/DJ); Gio new 3rd basemen but DJ would slot there too, push Andujar to DH? Trade Bird for a prospect that you can develop for a future trade like a Dillon Tate; Would love to see Judge, Voit and Sanchez to have 500-600PAs next year.
