AD’s role is much bigger than the roles those 2 played. They were both great players in their respective cities, but were relegated to 3rd options after teaming up because of Wade and Kyrie.

We really going to sit here and act like AD didn't make 3 all NBA 1st teams and 3 all defensive teams before even putting on a Laker jersey? There were people calling him top 3 or 5 in the world after what he did in the playoffs with New Orleans a couple seasons ago.

is actually trying to make I think it's pretty feasible that one could want to get one of the 8 best players in the league at one point, the trade not happen, but the Cs still be just as much of a championship contender and be happy that nothing was done a year later.
