I’m not saying he wasn’t. He was. I just get the sense that, even though he was great, it bothers him he’s not as popular as some other superstars.

He was a horrible “analyst”. I never been a big PP fan when he was a player, he is def an all time great but for some reason he wasnt likeable to me. Maybe how he carried himself, his “slow” game that wasnt interesting. I never heard someone say they wanna play like PP. :lol

It was his analyst duties that made me really dislike him though. Certified bum, horrible takes, his attitude.

His cockiness definitely rubbed a lot of people the wrong way

Definitely. I hated him ever since I started watching basketball and it had nothing do to with him being a Celtic
Vince was always a nice guy but also he was far more exciting to watch when he was on so that helped too

Yea he wasn’t flashy at all and played on bad teams most of his career. By the time the Celtics were getting national TV games he was still solid but was dropping a meh 18-20 PPG. not bad by any means but I’m pretty sure a lot of casuals look at that stat and just assume he’s a fringe all star who talks a lot of ****.

VC didn't go scoreless in his final NBA game either.
Where's the graphic? nick. nick.

Triple-zero, though

so they don’t really love him like that in Inglewood either?
I don’t think there’s much love for him out here. No hate tho. He was cut twice from the squad but he ended up being all American so I’m sure there’s some respect among those who know he went to Inglewood High.

Paul Pierce nicknamed himself. That’s why he’s lame.

Moar lies.

Pierce's nickname, "The Truth", was bestowed on him by Shaquille O'Neal after a 112–107 Lakers' victory over the Celtics on March 13, 2001, in which Pierce scored 42 points on 13-of-19 shooting. O'Neal pulled Boston Herald reporter Steve Bulpett over and gestured toward his notepad. ... Paul Pierce is The Truth."
