The fact is that there are a lot of numbers associated with Kobe or that can be associated with him. So it’s not that hard to find all these correlations if someone puts effort into it.
But if it makes people happy or makes it easier for people to deal with his passing to do that, go for it.

Shout out to Doc. I like that said he personally feels like they should play but if his players said no it's no. Unlike company boy Stephen A ranting everyday like the NBA is a needed business to the public.

Couple of thoughts here:
1. Good ole Morris Twins. Same dudes since the days at KU. I still remember the story of them fighting half of the football team on the front steps on one of the main buildings on campus. You saw one of them you saw them both. As for the incident - did he come into the game thinking to himself I'm going to try and take out Luka. I don't believe so but that dude has been around long enough and has a 'win at all costs' mindset that if the opportunity presented itself would he take it. Absolutely. In today's game that is frowned upon but in the 80s and 90s that would have been quietly applauded in the locker room.
2. Mental health is important and for men especially it is often swept under the rug. To draw the line between human and professional basketball player is so hard. We ask a lot of these players under normal circumstances much less the bubble they are in now but when I hear about a guy being 'depressed and mentally checked out' who just also happens to make 30+ million a year, staying in an above average hotel with just about any amenity or luxury at his beckoning that is hard to find sympathy. Insensitive, maybe but in parallel to everything else that is going on the world that may fall on deaf ears.
