Would boycotting game 1 be the same as just starting the series a couple days later?

They probably just got together to discuss a joint act for Jacob Blake, maybe they’ll all pray together in a circle. Wouldn’t be mad at a boycott. Interested to see what it looks like and the nba’s response.

It's interesting to me how different the media an NBA fans perceive Lillard and Harden. I feel like Harden catches a lot more flack when both have made the playoffs consistently and both have lost consistently. Imagine if Harden had Lillard's playoff record? Dame leads his team to the playoffs every year where they usually get destroyed early in the playoffs (except last season where they got swept by a KD-less Warriors team)

Harden gets absolutely crushed for his playoff failures and Dame seems to get a pass. Is it Harden's style of play that makes him less sympathetic? Is it Dame's warrior/"me against the world" attitude that makes people like him more? Is it the fact that Harden has had better teams than Dame over the last couple of years?

Harden is considered by every casual to be a different level player then Dame so he's held to a much higher standard in the media etc..that's pretty much it.

I know it's not the politically correct thing to say and we shouldn't stigmatize mental illness but I agree with Raja. It doesn't engender much confidence in someone when you know that mentally, they're fragile.

I was in the military, and I would have hated knowing that the person who has my life in their hands might break mental at any moment.

I would say because harden is on a tier above dame so the expectations are different. Funny thing about that though is the same people who slander harden for his playoff failures will turn around and say he isn’t that good anyway or that they knew his team didn’t have a chance anyway.

whether you knew it or not didn’t change that the fact that the other person might have a mental break. in fact, you’d be better off knowing if they were on the brink so you could help that person who might ultimately need to help you.

keeping mental illness in the dark is the worst thing you can do to address mental illness.

James is my guy, but he gags when things are tilted in his favor like Kawhi sitting out in 2017 and Durant sitting out last year.
