Props to the players and everybody pointing out that the league has no authority to try to commidify and sell the players progressivism as their own.

Respect to the league for bartering on this issue, but they need to stop playing big brother with their messaging and let players express themselves independently

If the owners do in fact use their pull, the next CBA negotiation (which could be this fall now) is going to be a bloodbath

The NBA already lost half a billion dollars with the Hong Kong stuff and now they're going to lose even more revenue. It's going to be interesting to see the players response when their contracts are looking funny in a couple of years.

The hearts and minds and people the NBA is trying to reach aren't hurt by NBA players forfeiting games and going on strike. Unfortunately, the people these NBA players who want to reach don't watch basketball. NBA fans are younger, live in big cities and have more progressive values, In a sense these players are preaching to the choir. People in middle America don't watch NBA basketball.

this isn't about converting the minds of middle america. if middle america is still harboring racist, antiquated values after the recent uprisings over the last four months, 100+ Black athletes shutting down the NBA isn't going to change their minds.

Athletes sitting out affects team owner's bottom line: $$$ These owners are some of the billionaires in the back pocket of politicians. They might not care about BLM but you **** with their source of money enough and suddenly they have a vested interest in getting politicians to address the police brutality that is at the core of why players are electing to sit out. It's just one avenue for change.

I think we all know this will happen

Bruh you are goofy. Like forreal.
Lol you don't think Bron Is the one that wants to finish the playoffs? He had the opportunity to speak and get this all shut down months ago.

Pat Bev said as much. Then everybody talked **** about him

There's no real way for the NBA to help the players feel better. Can't throw money at every situation. And just bringing their families in isn't enough. Still nothing for the family to do once there. Especially if the guys arent playing games.
