F sports right now. Whether its covid or for social justice, I learned sports is really not needed for me, personally. Sports really did become a distraction from what's going on, unintentionally.
I haven't watched basketball in 2 days, choosing instead to read. Upset I missed Luka's big game but that's about it. I'll be fine without basketball.

That's why I think the owners are gonna scramble like hell to try to find ways to act on whatever demands the players have but man does it light a fire under their *** like never before to make concrete and substantial moves to advance the cause.

Might be the biggest leverage/power play I've ever seen in sports given it's potential to affect things far beyond the reach of simply sports
Doubt it.

However there are certain owners who pay attention to the optics and will do whatever their players suggest. Prime example is Josh Harris, players called him out publicly regarding paying employees due to Rona and he did a complete 180 and did what the players wanted and then some

With all the talk of the raptors wanting to boycott and leave bubble I find it hard to believe only the clippers and lakers wanted to boycott the rest of the playoffs.

Feel the same, that doesn’t seem realistic at all, especially when the Celtics and Raptors had discussed the boycotts beforehand, and the Bucks initiating the walkout in the first place.

I was all for these games but the smugness of that Wisconsin Sheriff just made me sick. Clown couldn't help himself with snickering and talking in the back when others were speaking. The only person with any shred of decency was the commander of the national guard. The Sherrif was trying to claim cops couldn't hear when the 17 year old murder tried to surrender but then said he wasn't there so he didn't know. The chief of police was getting checked by the media and then tried to puff out his chest and say he wasn't going to answer anymore questions. DISGUSTING display.
is there a video of this? I missed that press conference

im thinking they were the only two teams that came up with that firm conclusion as of right now
not sure though

Yea might be teams who were willing to hear out proposals from the league and owners on how to proceed first before coming to a final decision but sounds like all that ended as soon as both LA squads walked out.

Would explain the reports of it getting 'ugly' at the end if many players didn't feel heard

Maybe Terrance Mann was referring to whoever said it was the Clippers and Rockets pushing most strongly for the season to continue.

And Celtics and Raps said everything was on the table including leaving

Just because 1-2 teams opt out doesn't mean they can't finish the playoffs. I strongly believe if one team wants to leave, they should all leave. But I really doubt teams with a good shot at winning the title (both LA teams, bucks, heat) would do that. I still think a list of demands would be a smart move lol

Idk what “sources” are correct .

But shoutout to the bucks if they just did this boycott on the fly . Even if they didn’t have full plan they got this **** poppin

Doing this without knowing for sure the rest of the league is backing you, takes some balls
