It was, is, a WONDERFUL power flex for the Black Athlete. All who cared followed suit, then did not play. It proves that the Black Players in the NBA can take a stand, with reverberations being felt throughout the entire professional sports spectrum. The WNBA is a HUGE part of this as well.

Just using him as an example because he's the one I'm immediately familiar with - Cuban's worth 4.5B.. He bought the Mavs for $285M... They're worth almost $2.5B... Think about how far he can let that nosedive before this feels like a 'bad' investment.
That's a tough game to play as a player because the owners have just got more wiggle room to wait you out.
De-unionize police departments.
Stop allowing crooked police issues/situations to be investigated by other police. People are inclined - in EVERY walk of life - to protect their own. It's natural, but it needs to be an element that's eliminated from these situations moving forward. There needs to be an independent third-party agency conducting ALL of these police-involved shooting investigations.
Body cams need to be a full-stop requirement to leaving a station and going into the field daily. If your **** malfunctions or you're not wearing it, there need to be tangible consequences.
Stop spending the amounts of money we're spending policing and incarcerating people for non-violent ********.
Eliminate no-knock search warrants.

These athletes are doing what's in their power. It shouldn't take the NBA going to Congress or wherever people think this "plan" should go. They see what's going in the world and they are using whats at their disposal. They're sport. They are not lawmakers, lawyers, judges, DA's, high ranking policemen etc. It's those people's jobs to end racism.
It's not realistic to put those expectations on athletes and if/when things don't change we criticize them for it. People did the same thing with Kaep. Like he should have some master plan to end racism. He did what he could. Used his stage and money to bring awareness. This **** woulda ended long ago if the plan was easy.
