Fun Cliff Robinson fact: he was the last player drafted in the 1980s to retire. He retired in 2007. The others from other decades:

1960s: Kareem
1970s: Robert Parrish
1990s: Vince Carter

The 1950s is shared by Wilt, Hal Greer, Di_ck Barnett and Johnny Green.

Cliff Robinson, Kevin Duckworth and Jerome Kersey all no longer here from that 1991-92 blazers team. Sad seeing guys die way too young.

The Chadwick Boseman news hit me hard yesterday. I was thinking about him yesterday afternoon like everything was normal. Watching baseball and thinking about him playing Jackie Robinson since it was Jackie Robinson, and to see that bad news pop up a few hours later floored me. Life is too short.

Man RIP Cliff he was a baller OG stretch 4.
53 man, my parents are around the same age.
He was on Survivor too and they got him early on some BS.

this interview took place after the stroke in 2017-2018 ish. he ran a cannibus company

“"I'm going to make some changes in my diet and toward leading a more healthy lifestyle. I'm going to try to look more toward the future, and not just tomorrow."

Robinson hopes he can be an example for people who have neglected to get their blood pressure checked, or haven't done anything after learning their blood pressure is high.

"Get checked," he said. "Take care of things. You can't take that stuff for granted, especially when you're getting up in age. There's a thing called quality of life. We all have to keep an eye on that."”

Pros once they retire are at extremely high risk because they’ve spent their entire lives eating whatever they want because they’re genetic Anomalies with super fast metabolisms and work out all the time from like 13 until they retire. Never humanized working out.

those habits don’t stop once your career is over and you’re not working out like a madman and it leads to some serious health stuff. Glad CP3 and those boys got nba alumni’s with lifelong health care and all that.

It’s really important to get regular check ups because potentially dangerous problems can sneak up on you. Throughout most of my 30s I had no issues with blood pressure and cholesterol. Now I take medication for both.

Didn’t make any major lifestyle changes as I got older. And I didn’t feel any differently. I wouldn’t have known my blood pressure or cholesterol were at unhealthy levels without annual physicals. (Though in the case of BP, I probably should have started checking it myself at home earlier).

Don’t know if it’s just me but the NBA needs to fix the tip off times. They tip off like 15 minutes behind schedule.
